The Enemy Within

I want to thank Pastor Leonard Navarre for introducing us to Jim Reeves, pictured above. WOW! This preaches directly to the American Church!

The famous line from Pogo was written by Walt Kelly in 1970 to support the first “earth day” effort to clean up the environment. It has been used to illustrate many things since, but is nowhere more applicable than in the modern church. Christians often complain about the condition of our society and usually blame the government.  Government is not responsible for maintaining the moral fabric in a society, the church is. Morals cannot be legislated…they must be taught from birth and be a part of our DNA. That responsibility rests squarely on the church and Christian parents.

  1. The late Charles Colson (Prison Fellowship) once wrote that crime (sin) is a matter of the heart and there will always be crime until the heart changes. The only one that can change the heart is Jesus Christ.
