A Favorite Christmas Story…

Good morning beautiful people, good morning. As I sit to write this morning, I glance at the lego set I purchased for my grandchild. I know it will be fun for her to put together. It makes me think of all the aspects of life and the journey we are on. It too seems like a puzzle at times as we trust God to lead our way.

Children are such a blessing from God. Psalm 127:3 Children are a heritage from the Lord, offspring a reward from him. Children are so easy to please, happy with even the smallest items. Their little eyes glisten at even the sight of the wrapping.

I remember my life as a child. I love to tell my Christmas radio story. I have a sister that was born intellectually disabled. She could not speak. She attended a day program here in my city for many years. She was a great sister but challenging at times. Her nickname was Hooky, that’s because if you didn’t understand what she was trying to say, you just might get a right or left hook.

I remember one Christmas as a young girl, my uncle bought me a radio. It was white, round and unusual. I loved that radio. Can you guess who wanted it? Yes, you guessed it. Of course, I gave it to her. Years ago, as I remembered the incident, I talked to God about it. He said, didn’t I give it back to you? You are on the radio. I host a radio program here on Saturday at noon (EST, streaming) after the world news in Caribou, Maine (WFST) called Destiny Moments. He did give it back to me, in a greater way.

Today, no matter what is going on in your life, draw close to Jesus. There is nothing that escapes his watchful eye. He loves you beyond what you can think or imagine, enough to die for. Dream big, beautiful people, dream big. He has each piece of your life all set up before the foundation of the world.

Let’s Pray:

Father, thank you that the greatest gift we will ever receive is when we receive Jesus Christ in our hearts and lives. Father, we don’t need to be like anyone else, just be us, because we were all created in the image of our God. (Genesis 1:27) You even know the number of hairs on our head. You always know the way we should take.

Father may your presence fill the homes of people all across this globe. May love abound from home to home as your presence is the greatest gift ever given to mankind. Thank you for being the light of the world. Amen.

Have a blessed day God’s beautiful people. Fill your life with Destiny Moments.
