The Greatest failure of the American Church is not carrying out THE GREAT COMMISSION! From Charles Stanley this morning. It is time for the American Church to be the Church God intends it to be! I have been preaching on this very point for years! The American Church fell in love with itself and buildings and it loves preaching to the choir!!! I heard a man of God pray the other day for God to send missionaries to America! The American Church has become very lazy! YES LORD!!!! The Church is to be the BRIDE OF CHRIST!!! DO YOU KNOW WHAT THAT MEANS???????? ONLY 6% believe in a Biblical Worldview, many now do not beleive in the Holy Spirit! The American Church is failing! Too many act like the Church is theirs!!!! IT IS THE BRIDE OF CHRIST!!! The Church Is the Bride of Christ – What Does that Mean? The American Church has fallen in love with high school pep rallies! FOR SURE! The American Church has become to prideful! It isn’t washing enough feet! I take my part in this failure, and I am not happy about it happening on my watch! How about you????? Many Americans have made a lot of money off of JESUS!!!! SHAME!!!! I think Jesus will be turning over tables in many Churches when He returns!
I always think in my mind that Jesus will give me a report card when I get to heaven! It helps keep me in line with HIM! What grade would you give the Church in America? What would you give yourself? Maybe I would get a C??? My Daddy, a WW II Veteran always told me to leave the world a better place than I found it, with that I give myself an F! We are sure not a match for the greatest generation ever, the World War II generation saved the world! Now, I do not know if America could even agree on how to arrange a one car funeral!

What Is the Church?
Most people think of the church as a building, but that’s not the biblical definition. It isn’t merely a meeting place for social interaction, scriptural instruction, and service projects. Rather, the church is composed of all those who have been redeemed by Christ. He is the head of church, and believers are called His body.
In Matthew 16:18, Jesus said, “I will build My church; and the gates of Hades will not overpower it.” He was referring to the entire body of Christ, which is composed of all believers worldwide from every generation. The church began on the day of Pentecost when the Holy Spirit came and filled Jesus’ followers, and it will continue until the rapture of the church, when believers in Christ will be caught up to meet Him in the sky (1 Thess. 4:16-17).
Until then, our job as Christ’s body is to follow our Head. We’re not the ones in charge; He is. The Lord builds His church, but He uses us to make disciples, baptizing and teaching them to obey all His commands (Matt. 28:19-20). We don’t come up with our own plans; we simply follow His.
