Such a wonderful blessing to have a message from Sister Connie Keyohara today! Thank you Sister! Happy Thanksgiving and much love to you and yours!

Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good; his love endures forever.

Psalm 118:1

As we get ready to celebrate Thanksgiving, let us remember we have a lot to be thankful for.

It’s easy to look at the things in our lives that aren’t going so well right now, but there’s always something we can find to thank God for.

One of the best things about thankfulness is that the more you choose it, the easier it gets.

The more you talk about gratitude, the more you’ll notice things to be grateful about.

Obviously, this year is going to be a little harder. We must keep our eyes fixed on Christ, and understand he has a plan.

Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

Philippians 4:6-7

Devote yourselves to prayer, being watchful and thankful.

Colossians 4:2

Something recently happened that really touched me and spoke to me about being thankful, even in hard situations.

My friend Terry has a grandson that was born premature.

Her grandson is in very bad shape and we’ve been praying for him.

She sent me an email that her daughter-in-law wrote from the hospital.

In that email she did speak of his medical condition, but she pointed out all the good things that she’s thankful for.

She got to feed him for the first time yesterday, she got to swaddle him for the first time since his birth, there were many other little things that we might take for granted.

But she found something to be  thankful for, even in the midst of all that despair.

Even in the darkest of times, we can praise God for his love, his sovereignty, and his promise to be near us when we call.

When the peace of Christ rules in our hearts, thankfulness overflows.

Thank you, Lord, for your peace that transcends understanding and your love that endures forever. Amen, so be it!

I pray that everybody has a wonderful and blessed Thanksgiving.

I pray that you would see the things the Lord is doing in your life and the lives of those you love.

Please continue to pray for baby Jaxson.

Many blessings,
