CAN WE STOP MAKING MASK WEARING A POLITICAL ISSUE!!!!!!!!!!!! Americans fight like cats and dogs over most everything, we are a divided nation, so many are being emotional and not Biblical. Wat too many Americans are thinking of themselves and not others, Jesus teaches us to love all. The division and lack of Christianity in America is killing our nation. Sadly, I see know end in sight to this horrible division in America.

I weep as I type this…..whatever happened to tender hearts for Jesus and people?

So many in America have put politics and self-will before Almighty God. EGO is a pandemic.

From Adrian Rogers:

BIBLE MEDITATION

“They fought from the heavens; the stars in their courses fought against Sisera.”

DEVOTIONAL THOUGHT

Military strategists are still studying Napoleon. He was a great general but full of ego. Napoleon marched against Russia with 500,000 hand-picked men. What an army! As he marched across the plains of Russia, a snowflake kissed his cheek. He brushed it off and laughed. Another came and then a handful. And then bushels, and finally avalanches of snowflakes.

Napoleon’s fine horses reared and plunged and floundered in the snow. His army perished. Before it was over, Napoleon’s finest lay frozen on the plains of Russia. He retreated like a whipped puppy.

Napoleon had boasted, “God is on the side of the heaviest battalions.” And he was right. But he forgot that God puts His battalions in the skies.

The same thing happened to one of Israel’s enemies, Sisera. This time, not with snowflakes—but stars.

ACTION POINT

What are your odds if you stand against the plan of God? The stars in their courses fought against Sisera and Napoleon, and they’ll fight against anyone who fights against God. Get into His Word. Learn His ways so He doesn’t have to send the stars to correct your course. One little snowflake will do. Seek Him from the start!

Let us pray…………

The world is in crisis today and nurses are being strongly challenged. Help them to be the best nurses they can be despite the situation.

Bless them with courage so that they can face the challenges head-on. Bless them with a kind bedside manner so that they can care for their patients with respect and understanding. Guide them in providing expert care while ensuring the comfort of their patients.

Lord, let nurses be the source of strength for their patients and families. Let them be each other’s light in this difficult time. Fill them with energy so that they can power through their shifts. Shower them with love which they can give to every person under their care.

Amen.

Dr. Jim Denison posted this today:

Let’s make Jesus the star of the season.

In today’s My Utmost for His Highest, we find my favorite paragraph in all of Oswald Chambers’ writings: “There is only one relationship that matters, and that is your personal relationship to a personal redeemer and Lord. Let everything else go, but maintain that at all costs, and God will fulfill his purpose through your life.”

Will God “fulfill his purpose through your life” today?

I would never want to think I was responsible for the death of a fellow human being by not wearing a mask. We an obligation to our Lord to do all we can to save lives.

New Mexico is in many crises at this time, none worse than COVID. I have a very in-depth on the many factors that are hurting the people of New Mexico very much. This is from a Biblical Worldview not a Political Worldview. I am not a Republican or Democrat, I have been an Independent for years. I vet the folks I vote for with God’s Word, do they have a Pastor, are they producing fruit for the Kingdom of God. Both parties are so very, very dysfunctional. Join Sharon and I in prayer that we do not have a horrendous increase in COVID deaths in the coming weeks.

I just got off the phone with our precious daughter Gretchen who is a Respiratory Therapist here in Albuquerque……..a very hard overnight shift to do with so many COVID patients. Our prayers go out to all those that are sick with COVID and other medical problems and all those who are caring for these precocious people. So very many heroes are serving so very many. We have many friends that have COVID, we have lost friends to this horrible disease. Please protect yourself and others, wear a mask! Do not make this a political issue, it is a human issue, respecting each other, caring for each other and do not be selfish!

A lot of the chaos we have here in America is because of selfish attitudes! What happened to us as a people? God’s Word teaches us: Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves. Philippians 2:3

The hate that spews from the mouth’s of many Democrats and Republicans is destroying America. I am praying for a vaccine against making everything political and all the hate and division. Cannot the American people see the destruction? By the way, the vaccine against such evils is JESUS!!!!

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another:
just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

By this all people will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another.
John 13:34-35

GREAT NEWS!!! PTL!!! PTL!!The Albuquerque Journal is reporting today……..

The company has selected New Mexico to receive 10,000 doses of the company’s new antibody treatment, Bamlanivimab. That’s in addition to the 878 doses already allocated to the state by the federal government. Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: FDA Authorizes Monoclonal Antibody for Treatment of COVID-19

The synthetic antibody therapy has shown promise in reducing the severity of symptoms in high-risk patients with mild to moderate COVID-19 cases. The therapy could reduce the burden on New Mexico’s strained hospital systems. NM to receive 10,000 doses of antibody

WASHINGTON   —    New daily cases of COVID-19 in the US surpassed 200,000 for the first time Friday, a figure that has doubled in the past three weeks as the coronavirus continues to surge across the country. Experts say the rise can’t be attributed to increased testing, which has only risen by about 20% over the same timeframe. Hospitalizations have also hit a record high, passing 91,000 over the weekend.
On a positive note, the first distribution of a COVID-19 vaccine in the US is drawing closer. United Airlines has reportedly begun moving shipments of Pfizer’s vaccine to strategic locations across the country in anticipation of emergency authorization from the Food and Drug Administration.

SANTA FE    —    A rolling average of statewide deaths from the coronavirus has surpassed 25 as New Mexico nears the end of a two-week period of heightened restrictions.  The seven-day rolling average of daily deaths in New Mexico has risen over the past two weeks from 14.9 deaths per day on Nov. 14 to 25.3 deaths per day on Saturday.   State health officials   announced 1,443 newly confirmed virus cases and 13 related deaths yesterday.

ALBUQUERQUE — After the two-week statewide shutdown, New Mexico will move into a three-tiered county-by-county system of reopening.
Counties that want fewer restrictions must hit one of two criteria: a positive test rate less than five percent for two weeks or a two-week average of less than 8 cases per 100,000 people.
The new system goes into effect on Dec. 2 and will be broken down into three categories based on each county’s gating criteria: green, signifying medium risk, yellow, signifying high risk, and red, signifying very high risk.
In order to move from the red to the yellow tier,  Bernalillo County would need to average   around 54 cases a day. Valencia County would need to average around six cases, Cibola County would need to average around 2 cases, and Santa Fe County would need around 12 cases.
Statewide, New Mexico is pretty far off from meeting those requirements.
SANTA FE – Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham and state officials will host a remote news conference on Monday afternoon at 3:00 p.m. to provide an update on COVID-19 in New Mexico and the forthcoming county-by-county framework for the state’s pandemic response.

DENVER  – Colorado Gov. Jared Polis has tested positive for the coronavirus.
Polis and his partner, Marlon Reis, both have COVID-19 and are asymptomatic.
Colorado   has been hit with a substantial spike in COVID-19 cases. One in 41 residents are believed to be contagious.
He said he will continue to serve the state while isolating himself.

ALBUQUERQUE —   According to officials with UNM’s cancer center, the number of people dying from certain cancers will likely increase because of delayed screenings during the coronavirus pandemic.
Those who should know say  that the impact of COVID-19 on cancer diagnosis and  the treatment of other chronic illnesses is going to be devastating.
The National Cancer Institute is predicting an additional 10,000 to 15,000 deaths per year until 2028 for patients with certain types of cancers.

New Mexico Governor Will Not Budge On Church Restrictions, Despite U.S. Supreme Court Ruling

How are you doing today? Here is an awesome reminder from Billy Graham:

There are many things in life we need to flee in order to stay close to the Lord. We need to flee pride — that tendency to think of ourselves more highly than we ought — and instead live with humility. We need to avoid causing strife and jealousy, and self- centeredness that prompts such behavior. We need to avoid abusive language and instead develop a Spirit-controlled tongue.

We cannot depend on our own strength and ability or even our own self-discipline. Reading and obeying God’s Word will strengthen us in life. “He brought us forth by the word of truth…. Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath; for the wrath of man does not produce the righteousness of God” (James 1:18-20). May we keep our eyes on God.

New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham is not budging on Church restrictions: The Albuquerque Journal is reporting this morning that Governor Lujan Grisham is confident that her rules on Church attendance is constitutional, despite the fact of what the U.S. Supreme Court ruled this week. Tripp Stelnicki, a spokesman for the Governor’s Office, said in a written statement. “In short, the state feels confident its handling of this matter has been constitutional.” Governor’s office says public health restrictions are ‘equitable’

It has been long reported that New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham was in the lead to be named to the Biden cabinet as Health Secretary.  Lt. Governor Howie Morales is as liberal as the Governor. Our state is such a wreck at this time from COVID shutdowns, businesses closing forever, unemployment, hunger is growing in this state at a fast pace, abortions continue, an exceptional drought that is hurting our ranchers and farmers, I HEAR OF NO HELP FOR OUR RANCHERS AND FARMERS!!!! crime continues to be out of control, the list is so very long, it makes me weep. I am sorry to say that big money and ego runs politics. How can this be considered a success? I think of when I was a fireman, we would say after a devastating house fire, ‘we were just able to save the basement’, New Mexico is on fire, I don’t know if the basement can be saved…it may take a complete rebuild!

FGGAM Vice Chairman Pastor Bill Ruhl posted this:
People of faith were given something extra special to be thankful for late Thanksgiving Eve.
With Justice Barrett casting the deciding vote, the Supreme Court issued a decision stopping New York Governor Andrew Cuomo from enforcing strict 10-person or 25-person limitations for attending religious services.
Noting that the New York regulations single out houses of worship for harsher punishment, the Court gave an equally harsh rebuke to the state and Governor Cuomo:
“But even in a pandemic, the Constitution cannot be put away and forgotten. The restrictions at issue here, by effectively barring many from attending religious services, strike at the very heart of the First Amendment’s guarantee of religious liberty.”
In other words, the Court reminded New York that the Constitution still matters.
As you celebrate this Thanksgiving, we know that as believers, we have much to be thankful for—even during a difficult year. Please join us in adding President Trump’s nomination and the Senate’s confirmation of Justice Amy Coney Barrett to our prayers of thanksgiving this year—as well as this strong decision from the Court reminding politicians that religious freedom is not “optional” under the Constitution.

WalletHub Q&A

How will Thanksgiving and Black Friday impact unemployment?

“Thanksgiving and Black Friday should have a positive impact on unemployment because this is one of the busiest shopping periods during the year. Though some people may spend less than usual due to the COVID-19 pandemic, more than half of merchants expect holiday sales to increase this year compared to last year, according to the National Retail Federation,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “Businesses should get a big influx of revenue, especially through online shopping, which should put them in a better position to hire new employees or rehire those who were already laid off.”

What does the recent vaccine news from Moderna mean for unemployment?

“The fact that Moderna announced that their vaccine is nearly 95% effective should be a big encouragement to people who are unemployed. Since two companies, Moderna and Pfizer, both have demonstrated an effective vaccine, we can expect to see a larger quantity of doses become available initially, assuming both vaccines are approved,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “The sooner we can get the majority of Americans vaccinated, the sooner we can proceed to a full reopening. Once businesses are allowed to operate at full capacity, we can expect to see more aggressive hiring.”

Should the government step in to help industries like movie theaters avoid going bankrupt?

“The government should take actions to prevent highly-impacted industries such as movie theaters from going bankrupt. Government restrictions on capacity, though essential for safety, have caused many places to become unprofitable. We should protect businesses against bankruptcy to prevent another rise in unemployment,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “In order to receive assistance, companies and landlords in danger of bankruptcy should also be willing to share in the cost. The government can’t be solely responsible for bailing everyone out.”

How do red states and blue states compare when it comes to recovery?

“With an average rank of 24 among the most recovered states, red states had a better recovery from unemployment claims last week than blue states, which rank 29 on average,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “The lower the number of the ranking, the bigger the state’s recovery was.”

How has unemployment in Texas – the state with the most COVID-19 cases – recovered?

“Texas’ unemployment claims have experienced the 23rd quickest recovery in the U.S. For the week of November 16, Texas had 37,680 new unemployment claims, an 88% decrease from the peak during the coronavirus pandemic,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst.
