Joy Comes In The Morning…
Good morning beautiful people, good morning. I recently shared of returning to my parents resting place and was so blessed to see the small ceramic pumpkin holding the miniature replica of my book Good Morning Beautiful People, Angel’s Prayer Of The Day still sitting on their memorial stone. The hard winter months, the strong winds didn’t move the little pumpkin. The last time I visited, I found a gem the same color as the coat I was wearing. The only thing different this trip was the words I heard, Joy comes in the morning.
This morning I read and reread a card given to me September 9, 2017 when I spoke at a conference in Edmundson, Canada. I shared my writing that day, You were Born To Be A World Changer. Inside the card John 16:21 NLT was neatly written; A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world.
I remembered a religious meeting I attended, when the leader asked if there was anything else anyone wanted to share. This rather quiet shy girl sitting in the back raised her hand. I couldn’t believe the words that came out of my mouth that evening, but I am glad they did. I said I don’t like this, this feels very clickey to me and I never want to belong to clicks. I gasped for breath myself at my own words that night. Someone spoke up and said you are like a bird and somehow I knew it was time for me to fly.
Sometimes not fitting in with the status quo is uncomfortable and remaining silent seems the best thing to do, but what if Rosa Parks remained silent, what if she never spoke out, where would the world be? God has given us a voice, a voice to speak.
Father, thank you that you gave us a voice. May we be a voice that will speak for those that cannot. Father, thank you for mercy, grace and justice. You are a God of all three.
Father, we raise our voice today and stand for life. We thank you that we get to live life and we are thankful for parents that chose life even in hardship.
Father, thank you for healing the wounded in the Kingdom. Thank you for loving your people and setting them free. It’s time to fly…Amen
Have a blessed day God’s beautiful people. Joy comes in the morning. Fly higher today than you did yesterday.
Look! An eagle will soar and swoop down, spreading its wings over Bozrah. In that day the hearts of Edom’s warriors will be like the heart of a woman in labor. (Jeremiah 49:22)
