BE STILL AND KNOW THAT I AM GOD
Psalm 46:10
God is saying to us trust in him and not to try to solve your own problems because He is the problem solver. When you concentrate on your problems then the promises of God cannot be seen.
Psalm 119:148 My eyes stay open through the watches of the night that I may meditate on your promises
David learned to meditate on Gods promises whenever he was going through struggles, He knew that God would deliver him.
Psalm 119:145 I call with all my heart answer me, O Lord and I will obey your decrees. I call out to you save me and I will keep your statues. I rise before the dawn and I cry for help I have put my hope in your word.
I think we can all relate to David’s heart. Through our own daily challenges and struggles, we can trust God that he will be there for us.
Psalm 27:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield my heart trusts in him and I am helped.
Psalm 15:8-9 I have set the Lord always before me, because he is at my right hand , I will not be shaken. Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices my body also will rest secure.
David learned to rest in God. He was not shaken by his situation. He gave praise to God and he rested in His Word.
So today if that is you God is saying be still and trust in Him. Meditate on his promises and rest assure you will overcome whatever challenges that you face. God will never leave you nor forsake you .
God loves you, you can trust him and his plans for your life. You need not to be afraid, it is his battle and not yours, He is always by your side and will give you the strength. These hard times will pass and He will make all things new.
Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him and he will make your paths straight
Heavenly Father, hear my prayer when life gets tough. I will come to you in prayer instead of worrying. When I am afraid I will trust you for strength and direction. When I am in despair I will find hope in you. I will rest in your peace that passes all understanding , I will rejoice in you and give you praise, Amen
