“When words are many, sin is not absent, but he who holds his tongue is wise. The tongue of the righteous is choice silver, but the heart of the wicked is of little value.”

Proverbs 10:19-20

so that he might present the church to himself in splendor, without spot or wrinkle or any such thing, that she might be holy and without blemish. Ephesians 5:27

Pray team Jesus for Pastors and all Churches…….I love the pictures of old Churches….I think of all the Preachers that served in them. I don’t know their names but I thank the Lord for their service to that Church and the body of Christ. Janice Polk White from Minnesota takes the most wonderful pictures of old Churches. If those walls could talk! As we face this pandemic, let us be more united in Jesus than ever before. Let us shine for Jesus greater than ever! Let us show an unbelieving world JESUS and HIS ways! Yesterday I saw a post on Facebook of a layperson attacking a Pastor. Not good. This person claims to be a Christian, but this is not the behavior of a Christian. We will not move the Bride of Christ forward with this type of behavior. This type of ugly shows an unbelieving world what it wants to see from Christians. UNITY IN JESUS! THE LOVE OF JESUS!

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another:
just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

By this all people will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another.
John 13:34-35

We are praying for all Churches! Please continue to tithe to your Church.

We must, indeed, all hang together or, most assuredly, we shall all hang separately. Benjamin Franklin

Are you lifting people, or putting them down?

Do you check in with God before you speak or write?

Are those words coming out of your mouth from God?

I woke up this morning with the Lord showing unity. The Lord wants us all to come together to shine our lights brighter than ever before, for Him. For years now our nation has been divided and it is getting worse. This is just what Satan wants…to divide us and have us turn away from God and His way. Ego’s, politics, and all sorts of humanistic things divide us. Even the bride of Christ, the Church is struggling with unity a bit. I see it on Facebook. It is a sad thing to watch. I scan the world for news, many different sources. I see it.

We argue about almost everything now in America. I have said for years this division will be our end. America may continue, but it will struggle even more if we do not come together in our Lord. Who is going to stand up and say, enough is enough!”

Watching this world we live in is like watching a family that fights all the time, blames each other for the problems and a lot of times lies and cheats.

It should not take a rocket scientist to figure out that we are headed for more of the same hate and division unless we return our hearts toward Jesus.

We have more Churches than ever before, more Christian media than ever, more of everything…..but what are we doing with all that???? What are you doping with what gave you????

I was talking with one of my mentor’s last night, a Pastor, about the division that is creeping into the Church. It breaks my heart. I see this division all over America…..I see it’s affect on people. It breaks my heart that my children and grand children see this! It is not what I prayed for…I have prayed and still pray that they see Christians behaving themselves. So many Christians are showing an unbelieving world just what it wants to see, bad behavior.

God is not a politician. God is God. I have said for years that politics is evil, so corrupt.

You change behavior with love, tough love. Read up on it.

Can we come together in this fight against COVID-19? It is more than fair to say this is one of the biggest crisis America has ever faced. Everything in our country has been turn upside down. People say when will things get back to normal? It never will. Normal is just a setting on your dryer. America will look very different even in 3 months than what it looks like today. Will it be better or the same or worse? God only knows. This is why I plead with America to turn their eyes toward our Lord.

Our President and Governors have very tough decisions ahead of them. They need our prayers. Listen to me please…….so very many people are hurting right now, through the death of loved ones……are we even mourning them? It seems like we almost disregard the people that have died!!! No respect!!! Mass burial in NYC!!! Are we mourning?? Or are we more concerned about ourselves? Why have we not had a day of mourning?

So many people, including two of our children have been laid off. So many are struggling to get their unemployment checks or their stimulus checks as the system is overwhelmed. Many are struggling to come up with rent money for May.

This is not about you and me, it is about all of us, all of us need to come together and be servants of Jesus, to love all and help all.

We need to behave ourselves, we need to repent as a nation, we need a Great Awaking. We need to come together. We needed to be guided by God and not our emotions.

I will die preaching unity in Jesus.

This is not about you and me, it is about all of God’s people.

A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another:
just as I have loved you, you also are to love one another.

By this all people will know that you are my disciples,
if you have love for one another.

My life verse…..

“But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.” -Acts 20:24

WalletHub Q&A

How do the job losses from coronavirus compare to those caused by the Great Recession?

“During the Great Recession, a grand total of 8.8 million Americans lost their jobs. The coronavirus pandemic has already claimed 22 million jobs,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “While there have been 22.7 million jobs created since the Great Recession, COVID-19 is unfortunately on track to wipe out all of the job gains by the end of this week, according to WalletHub projections.”

How do red states and blue states compare when it comes to increases in unemployment?

“With an average unemployment rank of 24, Red States suffered a higher increase of their unemployment during the coronavirus outbreak than Blue States, which rank 29 on average,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “The lower the rank, the higher the increase in initial unemployment claims that state received during the coronavirus pandemic.”

The state with the current largest number of COVID-19 cases in the U.S. is New York. How has New York’s unemployment rate been affected?

“New York has seen a 783% increase in initial unemployment claims from the beginning of 2020 to the 15th week,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst. “This is better than the average increase of 1,709%.”

What can states do in order to minimize the rise in their unemployment rates?

“States should aggressively focus on helping the companies in the most need. The federal response will include sending checks to most citizens, even those whose income has not been affected by the coronavirus. States can use a more targeted approach to divert resources to the companies affected the most, thus having maximum impact for the money spent,” said Jill Gonzalez, WalletHub analyst.

  •       “Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”    (Psalms 46:10)

When God speaks to Israel in this well-known verse of Scripture, He is not simply telling them to “be still” or to “rest”.   This was most likely written during a time of war, and God is commanding them, Israel, to “stop fighting,” or as in some translations it is phrased “cease striving,” and start appreciating just Who He is.

It is all too normal to become anxious when things are not going satisfactorily or when we are confronted with challenges and discord in our life. However, in the midst of Israel’s struggle, God tells His people to “wake up” and be aware of just Who is on their side!

That being true, the tenor of this verse could well be read along these lines: “Stop striving, stop fighting, and stop trying to do things on your own! Stop your stressing about the confrontation to come and trust Me! Wake up! I Am the LORD!  I am your Shelter and your Strength. Do not be afraid for I am with you.  Be still, I will fight your battles.   I will do business with your enemies.  So, stand aside.   Step back.   Look to, and acknowledge, Who I am. Let Me be God.  Do not try to do what I can do.  Be patient!   Be still!   Allow Me to work.”

These words would have been a great help to the people of Israel in the face of their battles, and they should be a great comfort for we believers today in our struggles and discord amid this Covid-19 isolation period.

“Be still and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be exalted in the earth.”

Sometimes in this life, we just need to realize there are some things we cannot fix on our own.   Stop our useless striving and acknowledge Who God is able to do.   This brings His peace in the midst of our struggle.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths.” (Proverbs 3:5-6)

  • From Billy Graham:
  • People long for balance in their lives, but mankind remains nervous and afraid. From the depths of the soul people want the scales to balance. Many strive to solve the dilemma by attaining things: education, position, relationships, and even fame and influence. But they remain discouraged, always striving for the next thing, never being satisfied. Many join the church thinking that will be the key to fulfillment. Some think that by working to be good and treating others well will put them over the top. What is the answer to the great dilemma of striking the balance in life? Jesus answered this question and said, “I am the way, the truth, and the life” (John 14:6). When we trust God with our life and put our faith and trust in Him, He brings the balance. He enables us to look to Him, the author and finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2).Belshazzar, king of the ancient Babylonian empire, appeared to have everything life could offer but was weighed in the balance and found lacking by God (Daniel 5:27). Why? Because he did not acknowledge God. He thought he was all powerful, egotistical, and prideful. Jesus said, “Whoever exalts himself will be humbled [brought down]” (Matthew 23:12).

God weighs each of us according to His own standard. Life becomes unbalanced when we relegate God to the fringes. Instead of putting Him at the very center of life, Christ gets put on the sidelines, in the shadows. The objective in life is to make Jesus Christ the primary reason for living; thereby honoring Him in everything we do. This is the balance of life on earth.
