If God is For Me

Romans 8:31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

I remember being at the airport in Boston with Gabi. It was a very difficult time for us because she was going away for a while. We had confirmation on her seat, but the flight was overbooked. We found a spot to sit on the floor as it was crowded, and just talked and prayed. The pilot of the aircraft came over and said to Gabi, “I’ve got a seat in first class for you, and if you want, you can come into the cockpit to look before we land.”

We were so surprised  and thankful to the Father for making this hard time special for Gabi.

So many times we worry. We worry about what others think, what we’re going to do, what’s going to happen or not happen, etc.

As I sit here, I can think of many times when I felt alone, or was hurting almost beyond what I thought I could bear and out of the blue someone would call, or I’d get a card in the mail. God has no limits. He can even touch us through our pets. They will come over to you and give you a look that says, “It’s alright. No worries.”

Ephesians 1:2-5 May God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ give you grace and peace. All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who has blessed us with every spiritual blessing in the heavenly realms because we are united with Christ. Even before He made the world, God loved us and chose us in Christ to be holy and without fault in His eyes. God decided in advance to adopt us into His own family by bringing us to Himself through Jesus Christ. This is what He wanted to do, and it gave Him great pleasure.

1 John 2:6 Those who say they live in God should live their lives as Jesus did.

1 John 4:19 We love each other because He loved us first.

I want to encourage you to be aware of those times He’s loved you through others, as well as to be alert to loving others through you. Don’t consider that note or smile as insignificant. It could very well be another person’s life line.

Luke 1:37 For nothing is impossible with God.

John 1:3-4 God created everything through Him, and nothing was created except through Him. The Word gave life to everything that was created, and His life brought light to everyone.

Colossians 1:16 for through Him God created everything in the heavenly realms and on earth. He made the things we can see and the things we can’t see-such as thrones, kingdoms, rulers, and authorities in the unseen world. Everything was created through Him and for Him.

Nothing is impossible for Him, therefore, nothing is impossible for you. Again:

Romans 8:31 What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?

Actually, you can be against you. You can talk yourself out of things He’s shown you and told you.

Have you heard the saying, “The man follows the mind?” Rick B. calls it the maniac running around in his head. I call it mind traffic or being on the hamster wheel.

When you start thinking contrary to the Spirit, soon it comes out of your mouth and you’ve talked yourself out of what He’s said or shown you.

Romans 12:2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

Let’s stop doing things for God and do them with Him. Co-labor with Him as God is in you and works through you.

Father, thank You for choosing to live in us. Show us those you want to touch. Spirit, help us to be aware and see as Father sees. Teach us to quiet the maniac, stop the traffic, and get off the hamster wheel, and to think as You do. We praise you, Lord and offer ourselves to You. Amen and so be it.
