Dear girls that saw the half time show and thought you needed to dress more scandalous

From Billy Graham: Two conflicting forces cannot exist in one human heart. When doubt reigns, faith cannot abide. Where hatred rules, love is crowded out. Where selfishness rules, there love cannot dwell. People’s hearts, though small, are big enough for Christ to live in, if we will only make room for Him.
I got several comments from many after my Super Bowl half time post. I want to share a few of them and then share with you an excellent, spot on post by Casey Graham Russell! We are seeing things that we have not seen before, these are very troubling times for a America that is so very divided, right down the middle! Like Speaker Pelosi ripping up the Presidents speech right after the State of the Union, live on TV! How un-Patriotic! Un-American!  Evil!

I will not let this FOX and NFL half time evil pass, they cannot be lefyt off the hook, they must be held accountable for such evil..make a 10 million donation to a children’s home…pocket change to FOX and the NFL!…..I will keep speaking and posting about it!! We cannot just go from one evil to the next quickly! We must pounce on it and make our case! We must stand in the gap for God and His children! Just not for a day or two, but 24/7!

Here are a few comments on my Superbowl half time post:

Steven Daggett: Dewey, Sue and I didn’t watch it either, but she saw the results the next day teaching 4th grade boys at school. Soft-core porn is still propaganda. Propaganda for all the wrong values. And it does have an impact. It has consequences in our society. We conservatives fought this battle back in the eighties and clearly lost. Now this kind of thing doesn’t even make America blush.

Judy Nottingham: Totally agree, Dewey!! It reminded me of Sodom and Gomorrah in the Bible.. I don’t think it has anything to do with being old fashioned.. And, this is what they call entertainment.. If I had been watching this half-time with my family, I would have been somewhat embarrassed.. Certainly prophesied for End Times..

Robyn Besemann: Absolutely offensive to anyone with decency and respect for women.

“Sorry little girls. This is NOT where your value lies.”

Please now read Casey’s, who is posted above.

Casey Graham Russell

Dear girls that saw the half time show and thought you needed to dress more scandalous, more provocative, more skin showing and get on a stripper pole to get attention.

Here’s a few things I want you to know-

You are more precious that rubies. Proverbs 3:15

You are beautifully and wonderfully made. Psalm 139:14

You are a child of God. Galatians 3:25

You are so loved. John 3:1

Nowhere does it say that we are called to show ourselves in scandal, or treat our bodies like they are for show in order for Him to call us precious, beautiful, wonderful, or loved.

In fact, the Bible warns us, in 1 Peter 5:8 to control yourselves. Be on your guard. Your enemy the devil is like a roaring lion. He prowls around looking for someone to chew up and swallow.

Dear sisters, I pray you took heed tonight. I pray you stood your ground and that you didn’t allow your children to watch. I pray that you thought hard about what our world is showing, and how our media, and show business is teaching that sexual actions, attire and movements are okay…and in the same instance we’re seeing viral posts of sexual trafficking and mothers scared at the local grocery store. You can’t stand on both sides. It’s doesn’t work that way.

Whatever you do, search your heart. As a girl that once dreamt of being on the big stage, band and my name written in lights…I can assure you, being behind the curtain I knew it wasn’t for me. It didn’t align or sit well with who I was or who God says I am.

Tonight, was confirmation. And I’m thankful my daughter was not in the room when the half time show played. Guard your heart. Guard your children.

Flee also youthful lusts; but pursue righteousness, faith, love, peace with those who call on the Lord out of a pure heart. 2 Timothy 2:22

Evil is Evil!!! Many Christians need to check in with God! Many are winking at evil including Pastors and Churches. Half naked women!!!! Climbing poles!!!??? Awful!!! This was America’s entertainment!!!??? We exploit women and children, we abort children…..how awful we have become as a people.

“If anyone causes one of these little ones–those who believe in me–to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea.” Matthew 18:6

Throughout Scripture God does speak to the nations: “Come here and listen, O nations of the earth. Let the world and everything in it hear my words” (Isaiah 34:1, NLT).

Evil is real – and powerful. It has to be fought, not explained away, not fled. And God is against evil all the way. So each of us has to decide where we stand, how we’re going to live our lives. We can try to persuade ourselves that evil doesn’t exist; live for ourselves and wink at evil. We can say that it isn’t so bad after all, maybe even try to call it fun by clothing it in silks and velvets. We can compromise with it, keep quiet about it and say it’s none of our business. Or we can work on God’s side, listen for His orders on strategy against the evil, no matter how horrible it is, and know that He can transform it.

IMPACTFUL WORDS FROM CATHERINE MARSHALL!!!

And he said: “Truly I tell you, unless you change and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” Matthew 18:3

It is very shameful on how Fox and the NFL treated women and children last night.

I posted this last night on Facebook after I got home from preaching at FBC in Reserve! I am still so very sad that FOX and the NFL would exploit women and children. Fox is taking dumb pills, they would not air a pro-life commercial during the Superbowl! We treasure at children here at FGGAM! We also do not exploit women! Follow the evil money on all this. I am so very thankful for all pour children in Church and Sunday School and our teacher Destre Ortedga.

That’s the half time show? Wow I guess I’m so old fashion I did not know that is what they do now? Very sad! Very provocative! Where’s the marching bands? I’m old in this world we live in! I’m going to my western channel! Is this how we want our children to dress! We want our young Ladies dressing half naked? My goodness! Where are the role models? Just getting home from preaching and looking at this makes me very sad! Sadly it’s all about the money! The greats are on the western channel Called GRIT! John Wayne is on now! Christians! What does your discernment tell you? No NFL for me It’s the NFL’s exploitation of women! Men if you watch that stuff and support the NFL Shame on you! Also Shame on Fox for not airing the pro-life commercial! Fox has been taking more dumb pills Time to call out all this evil! Stop supporting in! As my Daddy used to say, it stinks to high heaven.

Chiefs win Super Bowl LIV: How Christians glorified God in and through the game

  • Christians in the Super Bowl
  • 49ers chaplain played chess with Charles Manson
  • Super Soul Party becomes national movement
The Kansas City Chiefs defeated the San Francisco 49ers in yesterday’s Super Bowl by a score of 31 to 20. The Chiefs came back from a ten-point deficit in the fourth quarter to give their beloved head coach, Andy Reid, his first NFL championship. What about the game will be remembered long after the score is forgotten?

Patrick Mahomes was “always about the other person”

Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes is now the first quarterback in NFL history to win a Most Valuable Player award, a Super Bowl, and a Super Bowl MVP by the age of twenty-five. However, he has been known for his humility since high school.

According to his coaches, “He was always about the team, always about his teammates, always about the other person.” Mahomes has been following Jesus since coming to faith in middle school.

Chiefs punter Dustin Colquitt has been active in the Fellowship of Christian Athletes and Athletes in Action. He says, “As a Christian, I think God has given me that platform to say, ‘Hey, I’ve allowed you to do a lot of things, and I need you to speak my Name.’”

49ers receiver Jordan Matthews became a Christian during his second year in the NFL and says “everything changed.” Another 49ers receiver, Marquise Goodwin, made headlines when he and his wife lost a premature son just hours before a game but continued to trust the Lord.

And Chiefs CEO Clark Hunt has been very public about his commitment to Christ. I was his pastor in Dallas and know personally of his family’s love for the Lord.

After the Chiefs won the AFC title, Clark said: “I want to thank the Lord for blessing us with this opportunity. The glory belongs to him.” After his team won the Super Bowl last night, he told the world: “I want to thank the Lord for blessing our family with all these incredible people who helped us bring this championship home.”

From Charles Manson to the 49ers

Earl Smith is the chaplain for the San Francisco 49ers. He previously served as a chaplain at California’s San Quentin State Prison, where he witnessed twelve executions and played chess with Charles Manson. He has been the 49ers’ chaplain since 1997.

Smith shares Christ by focusing on spiritual themes that connect with the players’ interests: hope, trust, and accountability. For instance, at the beginning of this season, he gave each of the players a tiny glass bottle, and with each victory, he gave the players a mustard seed to put in their bottles.

This is just one way he is planting the seed of the gospel in the soil of their souls.

“I have seen guys really grow,” he said. “I’ve seen young men who came in searching who have gone from searching to helping other men that were searching; guys mentoring the walk for others.”

“All I want is to be seen.”

Those associated with the Chiefs and the 49ers are not the only people using the Super Bowl for a greater purpose.

The 21st Annual Super Bowl Gospel Celebration was broadcast Saturday night. Its theme this year was cancer prevention. Those watching the celebration were given the opportunity to give to this urgent cause.

Social media personality Meir Kalmanson was walking around New York in 2017 when he encountered a homeless man holding a cardboard sign that said, “I don’t want anything to eat. I don’t want to drink. All I want is to be seen. I want to talk to somebody.”

Kalmanson said, “That just hit me in the gut.” So he picked up some food for the man and sat down with him to listen. He later staged a Super Bowl party for six or so homeless men he knew. He called it a Super Soul Party.

The idea spread to at least fifteen cities for yesterday’s game. The parties included clothing drives, free hygiene kits, haircuts, manicures, and on-site therapists.

How to please God

You may never play in a Super Bowl or stage a party that becomes a national movement, but your place of influence is your kingdom assignment today. The question is whether you are willing to trust God to lead you into your best life.

I first heard the gospel when I was in seventh grade, but I rejected its invitation to trust in Jesus. The reason was simple: I was afraid he would lead me where I would not want to go.

I still face this fear today. I would guess that you do as well.

When we’re afraid God will not use our lives as significantly as we wish, let’s remember this fact: His plan for us is far more fulfilling than any plan we could make for ourselves. It is his will to use us as fully as we are willing to be used. You can absolutely know that your life will make its greatest impact when it is fully surrendered to your Lord.

From Noah’s obedience that saved humanity to Moses’ obedience that led Israel out of Egypt to Daniel’s obedience that displayed God’s omnipotence to Jesus’ obedience in Gethsemane that led to our eternal salvation, the pattern holds: each time someone in Scripture chooses God’s will over their own, the world is never the same.

I have no idea who will play in Super Bowl LV, much less who will win. But I know this: our next step of obedience will make an eternal difference on earth and honor our Father in heaven. Then Paul’s testimony will be ours: “We speak, not to please man, but to please God” (1 Thessalonians 2:4).

Will you please God today?

NOTE: My sermon yesterday focused on the fact that we can trust the Lord with tomorrow, knowing that it is always too soon to give up on God. I invite you to read it here.

More here from Sunday:

It is a JESUS issue! Hearts need to be given to JESUS!

Yesterday I was out on Central Ave…..

So many wandering the streets of Albuquerque, hungry, thirsty, dying, desperate, drugged up, boozed up……These souls need our help…..they need our love…..

God’s Word call’s the mind of the natural man “blinded” Read 2 Cor. 4:4 The scriptures also call’s the mind of the natural man, “depraved” Romans 1:28, “corrupt” 1 Tim 6:5, “unspiritual” Col 12:18

The natural mind thinks from a humanistic, sin debased viewpoint. The viewpoint of the flesh directs it’s thoughts. The sinful mind is under the control of Satan and can never please God because it concentrates on things of the world and not things of the Spirit. The natural mind walks the path of hopelessness and self-destruction.

Let your light shine before the darkness, let your light for Jesus show others the only true path.

As you grow in your relationship with our Lord Jesus Christ your discernment will grow and you will be able to see  His light so clearly and your God given discernment will enable you to see through the darkness so clear, you will be set free more and more knowing the difference between good and evil.

Team Jesus, We are praying for all to come to Jesus. We will continue to carry out the Great Commission in the City and State. Many of my friends back home call me a missionary. We need missionaries here in New Mexico. Satan is having his way with so very many.
