“Near is the great day of the Lord, near and coming very quickly; Listen, the day of the Lord! In it the warrior cries out bitterly. A day of wrath is that day, a day of trouble and distress, a day of destruction and desolation, a day of darkness and gloom, a day of clouds and thick darkness, a day of trumpet and battle cry against the fortified cities and the high corner towers” Zephaniah 1:14-16

Major General Hossein Salami, recently appointed to command Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) following the assassination of his predecessor Qasem Soleimani, made an impassioned speech at a memorial event on Tuesday morning in which he said, among other things, that his soldiers would “set ablaze” unspecified locations identified with the US and its regional allies, including Israel and Saudi Arabia. Shortly after his speech, a stampede broke out at the event which health officials said killed an estimated 40 mourners and injured hundreds of others.

US Peace Plan Discussed in Jerusalem

Avi Berkowitz, assistant to US President Donald Trump and special representative for international negotiations, was in Jerusalem Monday to meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. US Ambassador to Israel David Friedman was also reportedly at the meeting, which was held for the purpose of discussing the Trump Administration’s so called “deal of the Century” plan for peace between Israel and the Palestinians. ICEJ Video – Celebrating 40 Years of God’s Faithfulness

Thanks to you, this has been a tremendous year and, for the ICEJ, 2020 will be a year of great significance and celebration as we reflect on God faithfully using us to comfort the people of Israel for the past 40 years. The number 40 is a significant number. In the Bible, it can symbolise a time of testing which – if passed through in obedience – ends in blessing and the fulfilment of God’s promises. Thank you for being a part of this miraculous journey.
