Thought of the day:

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity. Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content: I know how to be abased, and I know how to abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need. I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Reference Philippians 4:10-13 NKJV

One Word comes to mind with this passage, flexibility. Paul shared here that he learned to be flexible in whatever circumstance he was in. In what God allowed to happen in his ministry, he learned that the rigidity needed to change. He learned to adapt. In fact, in his first letter to the Corinthians, he talked about being a servant to all learning that sometimes, it means he needed to do the simplest of tasks, which could even be cleaning toilets or someone else’s mess.

For us, this should be a great example. Sometimes, we have thoughts in mind of how we do something only to find out, that we cannot fit every situation into the same work. We need to learn to be flexible or “Adapt and Overcome” in what we maybe dealing with. We cannot be so rigid that God can’t use use us.

One example that comes to mind now is our fellowship. We are, for the most part, flexible. We adapt to situations, as they present themselves, to reach others. Sometimes, it means, instead of a teaching, we maybe in prayer or a Q and A session. It could mean that we start late because we are ministering to someone or waiting for others to arrive. In essence, we are learning more and more to work as The Spirit Guides. It doesn’t look like a traditional church does and that’s something God has used to reach others.

Let’s ask ourselves about our flexibility and is there is something that God needs to Work on in us today.

If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.
It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it. We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already.
If you need help, have questions or need direction in this regard, please, feel free to let me know. Maybe today you are struggling with something. Maybe you may have found yourself not as close to The Lord as you thought. We would like to help you in this through prayer and guidance.
