We are so blessed that Connie Keyohara is sharing with us this morning! God Bless you and yours Connie!

And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. Revelation 21:2

I recently attended a wedding and it was so glorious. Every moment of that wedding was so precious. One of the best parts of this wedding was I got to plan it along with the bride. I was blown away at the attention to detail that the bride Worked so hard on. But mostly watching her prepare and get ready to meet her groom. It seem like this was the most important thing to her, as it was to all the guests.

As everybody waited for her to enter in anticipation you could hear a pin drop. And the groom’s face lit up when he saw his bride.

Believers in Jesus Christ are the bride of Christ, and we wait with great anticipation for the day when we will be united with our Groom. Until then, we remain faithful to Him and say with all the redeemed of the Lord, “Come, Lord Jesus!” (Revelation 22:20).

Waiting and preparing to meet our Bride Groom (Christ). We should be preparing and paying attention to every detail. We should remain faithful and patient.

Christ, lovingly chose the church to be His bride (Ephesians 5:25–27). Just as there was a betrothal period in biblical times during which the bride and groom were separated until the wedding, so are we (the bride of Christ) separate from her Bridegroom until he returns. Our responsibility during this time is to be faithful to Him.

I love weddings and it’s especially heartfelt when it’s your son waiting to see his bride. Everything she prepared for a year was worth the wait.

As we prepare and wait for Christ return we should be anxious and ready to see his face light up when he sees us.

Let us rejoice and exult and give him the glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and his Bride has made herself ready; it was granted her to clothe herself with fine linen, bright and pure”— for the fine linen is the righteous deeds of the saints. And the angel said to me, “Write this: Blessed are those who are invited to the marriage supper of the Lamb.” And he said to me, “These are the true words of God.” Revelation 19 7-9

Marriage represents our relationship with God. The joining of one flesh on the physical level has a spiritual message. An earthly story with a heavenly meaning.  “He who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with Him” (1 Corinthians 6:17).

May the Lord bless you and keep you and may his face shine upon you as you wait for his return.

Many blessings,

Connie Keyohara
