Should I Let That Change Me? By, Karen Rowe

Good day to you Dear Readers,

Can we have a little conversation before you read this devotion?

I know who I am in the Lord.

You know who you are in the Lord.

Say, you say something hateful to me.  Should I let that hurt change me?  Or, should I stay in the Lord and love you in Christ anyway?

It shouldn’t change my attitude toward you, because it doesn’t change the attitude of Christ when I am striving to learn and make mistakes along the way.  I am certain I do things that offend God, but God doesn’t take offense, because He loves me anyway!

Friends, when we get this, we will never be the same!

Because of who I am in Christ, I should not take offense, I should love those God loves anyway, because of who they are to Christ, and because of whom I am to Christ.  The Bible says, in Matthew 5:44 & written a little different in Luke 6:27-28, “27But to those of you who will listen, I say: Love your enemies, do good to those who hate you, 28bless those who curse you, pray for those who mistreat you.

It helps me to know, just because I feel hurt; I know that Satan sends hurt anyway he sends it, but that doesn’t mean I receive it.  It means Satan is trying to convince me it is real.

What is real?  God loves you!  And, things are not always as they seem!!!  Refuse to accept anything that offers you a whisper of a lie that differs from the love God has for you and those whom you love.  God still loves us -even when we make mistakes.  We have to minister truth to ourselves; as we also minister to others.  Release hurts to Jesus and thank God for who you are in Christ for yourself, to God and to the world.

Day in and Day out Satan is trying to turn us around to think different … But Satan I refuse to believe that!  Commit your self to the Lord and know who you are to God! So you may feel like you are struggling?  God is speaking life into you right now!

Press on Believing and STRIVE as you depend on God!  Struggling you are doing it on your own.  But doing it no matter how long it takes, depending on God is what it takes; and you will overcome by PRESSING ON to VICTORY in JESUS!

Striving builds strength!

As you press on believing in God’s love, you are gaining strength, and getting confidence to know that you will overcome!

One final thought as we go to the Devotion today …

Some may say, “That was strong faith that Jochebed had!”  She placed her baby Moses in the basket … To Trust God beyond trusting self is FAITH!  Yet FAITH gets strong; …and faith gets strong when you sit, pray, analyze and go beyond how you feel to build your faith like that of those who have gone before us to overcome by faith FROM what is hindering you.

Today’s title is, “Should I let that change me?”  My prayer is that you will see God’s Word as more than a book on the shelf, but to come to realize that it is a book for you to read.  Honestly, I didn’t know I could read the Bible, until God spoke to me years ago, and told me that I wasn’t ready to serve HIM yet, because namely, “You haven’t read the Bible yet.”  I began reading the Bible, and most assuredly, what would I have done without all that instruction – day by day; challenge by challenge; and faith by faith, overcoming things I didn’t even know was hindering me.

I gained confidence in Christ; and so can you!

Jesus loves you … This is where we all begin.  Choose life & Believe.

Daily Devotion to God’s Holy Word.

Should I Let That Change Me? By, Karen Rowe

Clouds are given to see HIS glory; as Clocks are used to understand time.

Sometimes we just need to know what time it is; other times we must be aware of the details in minutes; in sports seconds matter as to which one wins the race.

Relationships, however are not a competition.

Each of us were made to be unique with different strengths and weaknesses. That doesn’t make us less of a person; nor without purpose in this world. Like a component to a well oiled machine, we need each other to survive in this world well.

You are extraordinary! YET, called to be humble. Like a clock tells time & you have free access to a watch or clock most times in your life; sometimes you may need to ask someone what time it is?

Life is like this & you are not alone.

We need to have someone to talk to, but not just any warm body, you need some one who understands what you are going through; right?

You may feel isolated in your situation, but God understands & I am here to encourage you that you are extraordinary!

You may feel alone, but you are loved.
You may feel friendless, but only a follower of Jesus can be a true friend.

This world offers alot of stuff to deal with, but why allow it in your space?

Chose to trust in God and just follow Jesus. Seek Him, but Jesus will be the one who finds you.

By Seek, I believe the Lord is saying to us, give up negative thinking & start thanking God for finding you.

And because >

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.
2 Timothy 3:16‭-‬17 KJV

Won’t you pray and see what God wrote for you to understand Today?

God loves you. Jesus loves you. God’s plan for you is good. Now why might you be sad, tired or lonely?

We have to be good stewards with our time here and now. The choices of being grateful or discouraged rests in Jesus Name.

Every thing else can wait. Take time to eat God’s bread & fill up your heart with gratitude … the fuel that gets us nearer to God & He truly is our Strength to get through all things well.

In Christ,
Karen

Meet Karen: Hi, I am blessed, by God's good grace and because I know Jesus, I am blessed. I choose to be blessed, because I have a choice set before me and I refuse to look down. I trust God and I know and believe in the love God has for us. I have overcome difficulties; and I am blessed by the grace of God alone. If I have written about it, then I have felt the pain of it in some way, and to some degree. Did you know that Jesus has felt your pain? This is why I write. By God's grace I can identify; and tell you honestly, yes there is hope in anything and everything that you are facing today! Jesus is our Hope! He is the Truth, the Way and the Life. I am married a wonderful man, Robert Rowe; I love my husband and he loves me; and we have been married for 28 years. Together, we have been blessed with a wonderful daughter, named Amanda who is college now; and a wonderful son, named Daniel who is growing up well and soon to graduate elementary school. We work together and by God's grace we run our own business called PSI. We have a pastor over our ministry and over our business and also we depend on him for advise in our family. We have 2 dogs, 4 horses, 2 cats and love to spend time outdoors by the water and by campfires ... that is it seems when we can find time away from life's busy schedule. I love to write because it helps me learn more about God. And, I am driven by a passion from a love that God has put in my heart to share from my experiences and struggles, as I gain understanding in God’s Word to know how effective and powerful God is over our every situation! I share with you so you can know that you are not alone in your struggles. The same God who helps me and my family, is your help and shield as well! Life is not always easy, but it is possible –I like to share the difference that following Jesus makes in my life. And, I love to share God's patience and mercy and love that is with me! I am not perfect, but am experiencing God sanctify me through and through with every mistake I make; and yes, overcome in Christ! Life is not just about the successes; life on this earth is also about the troubles we overcome to discover what God has hidden in our faith to find! Troubles are more a challenge to grow in our faith ... It is not easy, but in the end the grace of God we discover is worth experiencing God in the midst. By Grace, I have discovered Jesus is Peace and He is my Joy and Wisdom from Heaven. God is our Provider and Healer and Creator, who is our help and shield over all things. By grace, I have experienced a nearness to God through my faith in His Son! We are well forgiven by God; and well blessed when we know and believe the love that God has for us. To say, "all is well with my soul" is a powerful knowledge to understand and experience. I sense God's desire for you to know His love for you and how deep His love for you is that He has SO loved you; God gave you His Son. God loves you right now just as you are! There is so much to learn! I believe that as we learn from God, we are God’s gift to each other. It is all God’s story –and for His glory; and God has SO loved us. I love to paint the vision that God has given me about a Father’s love –that God wants you to dream again and visualize His love for you! In God’s eyes, there’s more to life than we see; and in a world that sometimes misrepresents and misunderstands God and love; God wants you to have the courage to dream His dream and see His vision of a Father’s love for you! Many years ago, I prayed to God, “How can I tell a million people what I know about Your Son?” God showed me I had a gift of a ministry about God's Love; and He called it Hope in Today! I write to please God and I write to encourage you; and I write to spend quiet time with God. All because of this love that God has first shown me! I need Jesus –and my life is about my relationship with God. And, every blessing begins with Him! Love in Christ, Karen Rowe, Director Hope in Today Ministries, Inc.
