Overwhelming!

Peter Bamidele Abioye

He said to his disciples, “The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.” – Matthew 9:37-38

I want to introduce you once again to our friend Peter Bamidele Abioye from Akure, Ondo State, Nigeria.  Peter is a part-time volunteer evangelist who is doing a great job as our trusted administrator, assessor, courier, coordinator, distributor, demonstrator, publicist, prayer warrior, and a young man of God who is on fire for the gospel. He has been assisting us in getting digital players, known as Proclaimers, into the hands of pastors, evangelists and ministry workers who live or work in the remote villages of Nigeria (mostly the purple area on the map below).

Proclaimers are preloaded with audio Bible recordings of the entire New Testament in up to four native languages (there are more than 520 spoken in Nigeria).

Not everyone in those rural areas can read. So, when they are able to hear the Word of God in their own language, it’s like God speaking to them directly and that brings a lot of changes. The results and testimonies have been amazing!

Peter is a School Counselor and teaches a youth discipleship class in his church with his Pastor, but he is happy to spend a weekend traveling by bus for four hours, then by motorcycle for another hour, to take a Proclaimer or two to a village where there is a need for God’s Word to be heard.

In his latest text, Peter said to us, “the demand for the Proclaimer is overwhelming and we keep praying for God’s abundant provision and the massive harvest of souls through it.”

In partnership with Faith Comes By Hearing we are providing the Proclaimers free of charge. Thank you for joining us in prayer “to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest” who has also promised to provide all of our needs (Philippians 4:19). Maranatha!
