Lord, we need Your Help to understand what You meant by, Judge not, that you be not judged.
We know that You tell us to be accountable but, we need Your Help to understand that we need to be gentle when confronting others. You told us that with what judgment we judge, we will be judged and that also the measure we use, it will be measured back to us. This should encourage us to be sure our hearts are in this for the right reasons. We should not look at the speck in our brother’s eye, and not consider the plank in our own eye. How can we say to our brother, ‘Let me remove the speck from your eye’; and a plank is in our own eye? We need to examine our lives and allow You to remove sin from us as well. This means we are to first remove the plank from our own eye, and then we will see clearly to remove the speck from your brother’s eye. And finally, we are not give to what is holy to the dogs, and not cast our pearls before swine, they may trample them under their feet, and turn and tear us in pieces. We thank You that You continue to examine us and allow us to remember that You need to be involved with our accountability relationships. Thank You for Your Continuous Love. If we are to please God, we need to allow The Holy Spirit to set us apart. We need to pursue a sinless life. We are to seek Righteousness. How do we do it? Through prayer, study, fellowship, being willing to be corrected/accountability, discipleship, and service.
It starts with Our Relationship with Jesus. If you don’t have a Relationship with Him or you need to rekindle that Relationship, do it now. Call out to Him and seek his Love and Forgiveness. It really is as hard or easy as you make it. We should look to Him daily to seek a relationship with Him. I want to encourage you to seek Him today, if you haven’t already.
