A Thankful Heart By Jeanne Theriault

Colossians 3:15 Let the peace of Christ rule your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Having a thankful heart will change the way you see life. It opens you to enter into God’s blessings. Having a thankful heart touches the heart of God. When you  are thankful in all things God’s goodness touches your life and showers you with more of His blessings.

Psalm 100:1 Shout for joy to the Lord, all the earth Worship the Lord with gladness come before him with joyful songs  Know that the Lord is God.

David even told us to enter into his gates with thanksgiving.

Psalm 100:4 Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise, give thanks to him and praise his name.

When Paul and Silas were cast into prison, instead of complaining they prayed and sang praises unto God. (Acts 16:25)

Under there circumstances they lifted there hands unto Him  with a thankful heart and began to sing praise.

In Acts 16:25 About midnight Paul and  Silas were praying and singing hymns to God and the other prisoners were listening to them. Suddenly there was such a violent earthquake that the foundations of the prison were shaken. At once all the prison doors open, and every chains came loose.

Praise God! Can you envision Paul and Silas in jail that is not exactly a place of comfort and yet they both prayed and gave praise to God under their circumstances.  Then there suddenly came, and shook the foundation and  prison doors opened and chains were loosen!

Are you in despair, discouraged feel you are in a place of bondage? You can experience your suddenly in your life by giving praise and thanksgiving to God , just like Paul and Silas did.

Hebrews 12:28 Therefore since we are receiving a kingdom that cannot be shaken let us be thankful and so worship God acceptably with reverence and awe

God’s kingdom cannot be shaken , but the enemy’s kingdom can be shaken when you have a heart of thankfulness, praise  and worship.

2 Corinthians 2:14  But thanks be to God who always lead us in triumphal procession in Christ and through us spreads everywhere the fragrance of the knowledge of him.

1 Thessalonians 5:18 Give thanks in all circumstances for this is God’s will for you in Christ Jesus.

Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield, my heart trusts in him and I am helped. My heart leaps for joy and I will give thanks to him in song.

Psalm 75:1 We give thanks to you, O God we give thanks, for your Name is near men tell of your wonderful deeds.

Lord may we always have a thankful heart  , we know that you will give us our heart desires as we delight ourselves in you. We give you thanks  and praise in all our circumstances. For you are our strength, our peace and joy and our hearts trusts  in you. Thank you Lord. Amen
