Snowpack Levels Are Woefully Low Throughout New Mexico

According to the National Weather Service, snowpack levels are woefully low throughout New Mexico.
By some estimates, the northern mountains near Chama would require an additional 25 feet of snow in order to catch up to average amounts. That’s as high as a two-story building.
At this point,   New Mexico is neck deep in drought conditions. The most recent report from the U. S. Drought Monitor shows extreme drought creeping into the north-central mountains.

Post from Feb 23rd from Pastor Dewey Moede:

Let us all be in prayer for rain and snow for New Mexico.

The Albuquerque Journal is reporting this morning that the latest New Mexico drought map, released on Thursday, shows that about 80 percent of the state is in severe drought and more than 5 percent, mostly in the north-central and extreme northwest, is in extreme drought.

Please add New Mexico to your prayer list.

Wildfire danger is a threat to much of the state.

Pastor Richard Mansfield leads us in prayer………

Heavenly Father, we are so blessed to have You as our Savior and Lord. We thank You for always meeting our every need. We cry out to You on behalf of our beloved New Mexico and the surrounding Southwestern States that are experiencing a drought like us. We remember that the Prophet Elijah prayed for rain and You were extremely gracious in answering his prayer. we too lift up our voice to You asking that You send us the much needed rain and snowfall that we all so desperately need. Father, the snow not only adds much needed moisture for now and water in the spring but also economic support to us and our surrounding Ski Resorts. Our farmers and ranchers rely on the snow and rain for their livestock and land preparation for the upcoming farming season. We need the snow and rain to keep our State from forrest fires and other threatening catastrophes. Send us an abundance of rain without flooding our mudslides. Send us an abundance of rain and snow to fill our lakes, ponds and rivers. Send us an abundance of rain and snow to bring life to our desolate and parched land. We know that You have the power to do this and in Jesus name, we ask that You meet our every need, Amen!

2 Chronicles‬ ‭7:14-15‬ ‭“Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place.”

Matthew‬ ‭18:19““Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven.”
Deuteronomy‬ ‭11:13-15‬ “If you carefully obey the commands I am giving you today, and if you love the Lord your God and serve him with all your heart and soul, then he will send the rains in their proper seasons—the early and late rains—so you can bring in your harvests of grain, new wine, and olive oil. He will give you lush pastureland for your livestock, and you yourselves will have all you want to eat.”

Thank you Pastor Richard, we love you and Cindy and your congregation at New Beginnings!
