Early yesterday morning, February 8, 2017, I got a call from Doug Moore of WFRN radio in South Bend/Elkhart, Indiana. I saw Doug’s name appear on the screen of my phone. I knew it was not good news, as Doug never calls me and his Dad, Ed, had been ill, but had been feeling much better! Doug told that Ed had passed away in the night. I told Doug about the text’s I had been getting from Ed, and about his future plans for the ministry of WFRN! We shed tears and joy at the same time, knowing that Ed is with our Lord Jesus Christ and with his wife Jan. Ed taught me so very much while I worked for him from 1986 to 1995. (There was six months in here around the 90’s that I spend in Watertown, South Dakota at KIXX FM) I continued to serve Ed for a few years after moving to New Mexico as a consultant. I will never forget the day in 1986 when Ed asked me, So Dewey, how are you and the Lord getting along?” Please now listen to my podcast.

I started as a sales rep and finished as VP of Marketing at WFRN.

This is my favorite picture of Ed and Jan.

How are you and the Lord getting along?

Are you doing the work assigned you by the Lord?

WFRN Morning Show

WFRN Family, we are saddened, yet rejoicing, that WFRN Founder and President Ed Moore (Dad) went home yesterday and is in the presence of the Lord. As many of you know, he had been struggling with his health recently. However, the last few weeks he had been feeling much better and felt the power of your prayers. In the days ahead we look forward to hearing you share your thoughts and memories of Ed Moore and the impact of WFRN in your life. We greatly appreciate your continued prayers and support as the WFRN ministry carries on the legacy. ~ The Moore Family
