Yesterday I was blessed to give the opening prayer at the New Mexico legislature. It was a wonderful time in the Lord to see the Legislature at work for the people of New Mexico. It is a very crucial time in New Mexico history, as the Legislature works to fix the budget, trying to bring the state back into the black. Right now the state is deep in red ink. I tried to get a visit with Governor Martinez yesterday, just a short visit, but it did not work out as the Governor was busy with these burning issues. ABQ Journal Report
I am pictured with House Speaker Brian Egolf and his aide Joseph Martinez. Speaker Egolf and Joseph were so very nice to me in my visit the the Legislature! It was a very precious day in the Lord!
What a powerful day in the Lord! It is just amazing what God does with us when we turn our life over to Him! You never know what the Lord will do with a willing soul. All is well with my soul! Amen! Yesterday my day started out at the New Mexico Legislature with giving the opening prayer. Thanks to my buddy Jose Vasquez, the NM Watchman, for meeting me at the Capital! It gives one great comfort when they are met by friends!
It was a blessing to pray over our Legislators! They sacrifice much to serve us! New Mexico has a citizens Legislature. Many have to leave their full-time work to serve in the session. I thanked them for their service. I want to thank House Speaker Brian Egolf and his aide Joseph Martinez for making me feel so welcomed!
I prayed Jeremiah 9:23,24 over the legislature……..
“Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, Let not the mighty man glory in his might, Nor let the rich man glory in his riches; But let him who glories glory in this, that he understands and knows Me, That I am the Lord, exercising Lovingkindness, judgement, and Righteousness in the earth. For in these I delight,” says the Lord.
I also prayed Galatians 5:22-23……..But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control.Against such there is no law.
I asked our Lord to bless these folks with unity! Love! and Peace! To bless them with more wisdom that they have ever had! Amen!
I prayed that the Holy Spirit move powerfully over the Capital!
There were very loud AMEN’S!!!!!!!
