Palestinian Authority Demands Dead Sea Scrolls
Reports surfaced over the weekend that the Palestinian Authority has plans to file a claim with the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) demanding that Israel hand over to it the Dead Sea Scrolls. “This is another provocative and audacious attempt by the Palestinians to rewrite history and to erase our connection to our land,” Israel’s Ambassador to UNESCO Carmel Shama-Hacohen said.
