Having started in news at the Minnesota Radio News Network in 1978, I love news reporting, but it has been trashed by many on Facebook and other social media with false news. Everyone thinks they are a news reporter.When I started in news I was trained to check my sources 3 times! We are very careful here at FGGAM. We would rather be “slow” in reporting a story than being first. Last night the Lord was showing me that the news media for the most part, not all, has turned into “opinion news”, there really is not much “news reporting”
There are way to many bad websites out there reporting fake news, or just very bad reporting.

The HILL REPORTS: BOOTLEG NEWS: Facebook is under growing pressure to do something about the fake news stories that are going viral online.
False stories on Facebook such as “Pope Francis endorses Trump” won huge readership during the presidential campaign. Some Democrats argue such stories played a part in President-elect Donald Trump‘s victory.
The liberal group Media Matters for America on Tuesday launched a petition asking Facebook to “acknowledge the problem of proliferation of fake news” and “commit to taking action.”

As I say its not only Facebook, its all of social media. If you want to hold the media to a high standard, which you should, you should also do the same of yourself. This is not a Republican and Democrat problem, it is a American problem. Is God honored by what you post and say?
