Revelation 21:4

He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Ecclesiastes 12:7

And the dust returns to the earth as it was, and the spirit returns to God who gave it.

Romans 14:8

For if we live, we live to the Lord, and if we die, we die to the Lord. So then, whether we live or whether we die, we are the Lord’s.

Luke 23:43

And he said to him, “Truly, I say to you, today you will be with me in Paradise.”

1 Thessalonians 4:14

For since we believe that Jesus died and rose again, even so, through Jesus, God will bring with him those who have fallen asleep.

John 3:16

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life.

1 Corinthians 15:51-57

Behold! I tell you a mystery. We shall not all sleep, but we shall all be changed, in a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trumpet. For the trumpet will sound, and the dead will be raised imperishable, and we shall be changed. For this perishable body must put on the imperishable, and this mortal body must put on immortality. When the perishable puts on the imperishable, and the mortal puts on immortality, then shall come to pass the saying that is written: “Death is swallowed up in victory.” “O death, where is your victory? O death, where is your sting?” …

UPDATE 10/17/16 at 11:18am MT from Rachelle Moore Brandt:

Update on my brother-in-law Sgt. Allen Brandt (AllenandNatasha Brandt) as of 12 pm, Oct 17 (EDT): Praise God! Allen is able to walk with help. Doctors cleaned, applied ointment and bandaged his eye. They are waiting for the shrapnel to get to the surface of the left eye, so they can remove it. They don’t think they will have to remove the eye, so that is a praise. They are hopeful some sight might be regained but don’t have enough information at this point. He may be discharged to go home in the next day or so.

AWE OF GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!! AMEN!!!!!!!!!!!!

SUNDAY UPDATE 7:3Opm MT. My heart breaks as to what America has become……..
Dewey, my mother-in-law just called and she was able to talk directly to Allen. Following is new information we have directly from Allen, as compared to second or third hand, so some details have changed: (Last revised 9:25 pm, 10/16/16) Here is an update on Allen, my policeman brother-in-law (Aaron’s brother) who was shot multiple times early this morning in Alaska. He was recently moved from a post-op room to a regular hospital room. Allen was shot at least four times: after the first shot, shrapnel hit his eye, the second shot to his chest (but stopped by his bullet-proof vest), he was subsequently shot twice in his hips and once in his calf. All of this at point blank range and it caused extensive muscular damage. To prevent further damage, the bullets were not removed. He will most likely lose vision in his left eye. When the assailant finished emptying his weapon – he struck Allen’s head with his foot before leaving the scene in the police vehicle. The assailant is still at large. Please pray for Allen’s healing, peace and strength to his family (his wife Natasha and their four young children) and that the criminal will be caught and not hurt anyone else. Their children are staying with friends and do not know yet what has happened. Thankfully, Natasha has been able to stay with Allen throughout while he was flown to the hospital in Anchorage. We are told they are doing fairly well emotionally during this time. Praise God for the peace that salvation in Christ brings!

Here is an update on Allen, my policeman brother-in-law (Aaron’s brother) who was shot multiple times early this morning in Alaska. In the last half hour he has been moved from a post-op room to a regular hospital room. He was actually only shot three times (not five): two of the wounds were from shrapnel flying from the bullet as it impacted his protective vest on his chest. Much of the shrapnel in the eye and the bullets in his thigh and leg had to be left to prevent further damage. The extent of damage to the eye is not known yet. The assailant is still at large. Please pray for his healing, peace and strength to his family (his wife Natasha and their four young children) and that the criminal will be caught and not hurt anyone else. 1. Terrible that this man was shot. Hopefully justice is served and the legislature will make moves to protecting our officers more. With our Troopers dying 2 years ago, hopefully we can get the community to protect and respect our police force rather then try to take them out.
