Ramifications for bad behavior:

Galatians 6:7-8

Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for whatever one sows, that will he also reap. For the one who sows to his own flesh will from the flesh reap corruption, but the one who sows to the Spirit will from the Spirit reap eternal life.

New Mexico is now number two in car thefts……..you cannot run from these problems….I pray that abortions stop now!

From Frank Haley of KDAZ Radio: Albuquerque Police Data shows that a car is stolen in the city every hour and 41 minutes. In just the last month 500 cars were stolen in Albuquerque.

I have become very sadden by the increase in violent crime in Albuqerque. When we were in Estes Park, Colorado last week, it was mentioned to me how violent Albuquerque has become. Bad news travels fast. This morning as I went out to the driveway to pick up my Albuqerque Journal, the front page headline is: ABQ CAR THIEVES IN HIGH GEAR, CITY GRABS NO.2 SPOT IN VEHICLE THEFTS IN U.S….. We have a friend, Franchesca Stevens, whose car has been stolen 3 times this year in Albuquerque, once from the Craker Barrel resturant, I-25, parking lot, Savers parking lot, and from her own driveway. She had to wait 48 hours one time to file a report with APD because they are so swamped and understaffed. Each time her car was filled with stuff that drug addicts use. One time it had stolen mail in it! Too many peope who stop overnight in Albuquerque, sadly wake up in the morning to find that their car and or trailer have been stolen. So many people in Albuquerque live in a “desperate state of mind” A depraved mind disease, read Romans 1:28, is rampant in Albuquerque. The natural mind inevitably becomes enslaved to other matters. The natural mind thinks from a humanistic, sin debased viewpoint. “Furthermore, since they did not think it worthwhile to retain the knowledge of God, He gave them over to a depraved mind, to do what ought not to be done. They have become filled with every kind of wickedness, evil, greed and depravity. They are full of envy, murder, arrogant and boastful: they invent ways of doing evil: they disobey their parents; they are senseless, faithless, heartless, ruthless” Romans 1:28-31. Jesus Christ is the only answer here. The person who sets aside wordly ways and turns to Jesus Christ can know forgiveness and joy! Amen! The renewed mind is obedient to Jesus. It thinks from Christ’s viewpoint, as the Holy Spirit directs. No politician can fix this problem, only Jesus. Here is the scoop on car thefts:  ABQ JOURNAL STORY
From Dr. Jim Denison, of the Denison Forum:Christianity Today is reporting on the devastation of pornography in our culture. Studies have linked it to depression and higher drug and alcohol consumption. Boys who view pornography are less likely to form healthy relationships. Yet only half of US adults and one-third of teens and young adults consider pornography to be wrong.NPR reports that Americans are overdosing on heroin and prescribed painkillers at epidemic rates, their number quadrupling from 1999 to 2014. According toPew Research Center, the percentage of Americans who believe that churches contribute to solving social problems is at its lowest point in the history of the survey.

How can God’s people demonstrate the relevance of God’s word to our culture?

David enjoined us to “turn away from evil and do good” (Psalm 34:14). It is not enough for God’s people to refuse evil—we must work to replace it with that which is righteous and good.

Moral obedience is vital for the health of our souls. As Oswald Chambers noted, “No one ever receives a word from God without instantly being put to the test regarding it. We disobey and then wonder why we are not growing spiritually.” Obedience positions us to receive the power and provision our Father intends for us.

Moral obedience is equally vital for the health of our nation. Historian Bill Federer cites several leaders who have acknowledged this fact. For instance, President Dwight Eisenhower stated in 1951, “Without a firm moral foundation, freedom degenerates quickly into selfishness and license. Unless men exercise their freedom in a just and honest way, within moral restraints, a free society can degenerate into anarchy.”

General Douglas MacArthur warned later that year, “History fails to record a single precedent in which nations subject to moral decay have not passed into political and economic decline. There has been either a spiritual awakening to overcome the moral lapse, or a progressive deterioration leading to ultimate national disaster.”

In 1968, historians Will and Ariel Durant noted, “The greatest question of our time is not Communism versus individualism, not even East versus West; it is whether man can live without God.”

The answer to that question becomes clearer every day.
