Our main text is II Chronicles 7….God showed me Chronicles 7 for our text because it is a reminder of who and what we need to spend most of our time focusing on. The word “Chronicles” literally means “A Listing of Events”, and the OT book of Chronicles lists the events that took place in the process of rebuilding the temple in the city of Jerusalem after it had been destroyed and the children of Israel had been taken captive to Babylon.
As I Chronicles comes to an end, we read that King David has already died and his son, Solomon, is now the King.
II Chronicles 1:1 “Solomon, son of David, established himself over his kingdom, for the Lord his God was with him and made him exceedingly great”
I want you to understand that you cannot do any better than that!
