ICEJ NEWS:

Iran Suing the US at International Court of Justice

The clerical regime in Teheran filed a formal complaint this week with the International Court of Justice, demanding the return of billions of dollars in Iranian assets which were deposited in US banks prior to the 1979 Islamic Revolution and have been frozen ever since. Legal experts were unsure if the ICJ has jurisdiction in the case, which follows a ruling by the US Supreme Court in April that the monies should be given to US citizens who have been the victims of Iranian sponsored terrorist attacks.
