New Mexico State Fair Ranked 9th Best in the Nation
Analysis ranks fairs based on a number of factors including affordability
A recent study conducted by SmartAsset.com has ranked the New Mexico State Fair among the top 10 in the nation. Placing at number 9, the New Mexico State Fair received high marks for its strong attendance and strong variety of vendors and concessionaires.
The study reviewed 38 state fairs and ranked them based on five different factors: attendance rates, adult admission prices, youth admission prices, length of each fair and daily precipitation averages during the time of the fair. The article specifically mentioned the New Mexico State Fair’s Unique Foods Contest, referring to the event as a unique opportunity the fair brings to its guests, which lets participants submit unusual recipes.
“We are pleased but not surprised to learn that the New Mexico State Fair continues to be considered among the best in the country,” said Dan Mourning, general manager of the New Mexico State Fair. “We agree that given the incredible entertainment that people can experience at a very reasonable price, and the beautiful weather that we are blessed with in New Mexico, our state fair is a premier event for which we are very proud.”
