Oh my! What a wonderful time I had watching Saturday baseball on NBC with Joe, Curt Gowdy and Tony Kubek! I think it was the greatest baseball announcing team ever! Really do not take to any of these modern day announcers……they are to stiff…….actors..show business……not baseball announcers….just my opinion! Hey! Who can’t forget the wonderful friendship that Joe and Yogi Berra had! WOW! Baseball lore! Nothing like it!

Valley resident Joe Garagiola Sr. passed away Wednesday morning at the age of 90 after a long illness.
