Report Claims Russian Soldiers Killed in Syria

Reports emerged on Wednesday that a large number of Russian soldiers, including senior officers, were killed in a massive car bomb attack on their base on Sunday, although the reports were unconfirmed at press time. Meanwhile, Russian forces and the Assad regime were reported to be engaged in fierce battles with the Islamic State (IS) terror militia in several locations throughout Syria this week, as all sides scrambled to consolidate their positions ahead of a general cease-fire scheduled to begin Saturday.

Israeli Defense Minister Moshe “Bogie” Ya’alon told reporters and officials in Cyprus Wednesday that Iran is building a terrorist network of “sleeper cells” and related infrastructure in Europe and North America, designed to strike when the clerical regime in Teheran decides the time is right. His statement came at the same time as the Iranian ambassador to Lebanon announced that his government will pay thousands of dollars to the families of Palestinian terrorists who kill Israelis and/or die in clashes with security forces during riots.
