Violent crime is out of control in Albuquerque. Earlier today I called for The National Guard to be called up top help bring order to the City and help fill the gap at APD. The Mayor and City Council have failed to staff our Police force at a safe level, APD is terribly understaffed. I also point out in my latest post that it is not safe to send Albuquerque Police Officers out alone anymore, they need to go out in pairs. It is not right for our Officers to patrol alone, it is not fair that their department is understaffed, it is not fair that they are underpaid and the Mayor and Council have decided in the past to spend their millions elsewhere, like on the cosmetics of the Convention Center. This is also not fair to the Citizens of Albuquerque, where does the Mayor and Council pout Public Safety anyhow? Read here about the horrific increase in homicides KOB TV REPORT:
