When you are dealing with past hurts is perhaps one of the biggest obstacle we face. Emotions from the past invades our thoughts and can hinder us from going forward. Whether we are dealing with anger, bitterness, offensives, or disappointments. We can’t allow it to have power over us.
The word of God says to love and forgive one another for he forgave us of our sins, other wise it will hinder our prayers
Mark 11:25 And when you stand praying if you hold anything against anyone forgive him so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins.
Unforgiveness can block God from answering our prayers.

2 Corinthians 2:10 If you forgive anyone, I also forgive him. And what I have forgiven if there was anything to forgive I have forgiven in the sight of Christ for your sake 11 in order that Satan might not outwit us. For we are not unaware of his schemes.
Holding on to pain, hurts, and anger does nothing but causes stress and unhappiness. You are not hurting the other person, you are only hurting yourself. You need to forgive so you can move on.
Ephesians 4:31 Get rid of all bitterness, rage, and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 12 Be kind and compassionate to one another , forgiving each other just as in Christ God forgave you.

Colossians 3:12 Therefore, as God’s chosen people, holy and dearly loved clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. 13 Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you 14 and over all these virtues put on love which binds them together in perfect unity. 15 Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, since as members of one body you were called to peace. And be thankful.

Lord it is our desire to forgave others as you forgave us. Help us to walk in love and forgiveness, not holding on to the past but to forgive so we can receive healing and peace and keep our heart pure before you . Amen
Romans 4:8 Blessed is the man whose sin the Lord will never count against him.
