Republicans Announce New Strategy to Defeat Iran Deal

Iran and the US (GRAPHIC)Amidst massive protests against the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) regarding Iran’s renegade nuclear program held in Washington on Wednesday, leaders in Congress announced that they will launch a legal challenge to the deal instead of trying to force through a vote which President Obama has vowed to veto, which he has enough support from Senate Democrats to uphold. The legal challenge is based on the assertion that the White House did not submit all relevant information pertaining to the bill in time for Congress to review it, as required by law, referring to documents from the UN’s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) which assert, among other things, that Iran is already in a state of non-compliance with the provisions of the JCPOA. Analysts were gave mixed opinions on the likelihood of success for the strategy, with the White House flatly declaring that it would not stop implementation of the JCPOA. Read More
