Egypt at War in The Sinai Peninsula!


The IDF announced Thursday evening that Highway 12, leading from the center of the country to the Red Sea resort city of Eilat, would be temporarily closed on Friday due to fighting in the neighboring Sinai Peninsula. The local franchise of the Islamic State (IS) terror militia carried out a series of bold and sophisticated attacks against Egyptian military and security forces in Sinai over recent days, even managing to seize equipment which would make them a serious threat to civilian traffic on the road, according to an IDF assessment. Yoav Mordechai, in charge of IDF operations on the Gaza Border and in the West Bank, told Al Jazeera on Thursday that the Islamist terror militia Hamas was taking part in the offensive against Egyptian troops in the Sinai.
