Threats Grow Near Israel’s Northern Border!

Urban warfare (Illustrative)Rebel factions in southern Syria, operating near the Israeli border, recently showed international media outlets tunnels they had built with assistance from the Islamist terror militia Hamas which rules the Gaza Strip. Meanwhile, the Iranian-backed Lebanese Shi’ite terror militia Hezbollah continued to push back forces of the Al-Nusra Front, al-Qaida’s Syrian franchise, from positions in Syria’s southwestern Quinetra province, near the Israeli-Lebanese-Syrian border area. The maneuvers come amidst threatening statements by Hezbollah that it continues to plan offensive actions against Israel despite being fully engaged in Syria’s multifaceted conflict. In related news, Turkey made an initial move towards becoming physically involved in the Syrian conflict over the weekend by signing a tentative agreement with the US to cooperate in providing air support to rebel groups fighting the Assad regime.
