When my cousin, Tiffany Nelson was killed in a traffic accident in South Dakota back in the summer of 2013, she had registered as a organ donor, and at last report from her Mother, Barb of Windom, Minnesota, Tiffany has helped hundreds of people, with skin tissue, bones, etc….Tiffany has even touched people right here in New Mexico with her donations. What an amazing gift…..to give life to another. We give PRAISE and THANKS to our LORD for the life of Tiffany, she is still helping others! Right now our Dear Friend Veronica is number one on the list here in New Mexico for a kidney! Both Sharon and I have” organ donor” on our drivers license, do you? MVD is Saving Lives through Driver’s License Organ Donor Registry

New Mexico has 9th Highest Organ Donor Registration Rate in U.S.

April is Donate Life Month, encouraging New Mexicans to make a life-saving decision by registering to be organ donors on their driver’s license and ID cards.  New Mexico was ranked 9th in the nation for the rate of registered organ donors.

What:  New Mexicans are saving lives every time they obtain or renew their driver’s license or ID card.  Fifty-six percent of New Mexicans say “yes” when asked at MVD if they wish to register as an organ donor.

Why:   Over 123,000 people, including 765 New Mexicans, await life-saving organ transplants in the U.S.

Misconceptions and myths about donation keep many New Mexicans from registering to be donors.  One organ donor save the lives of up to 9 people, and help 50 others through eye and tissue donation.

Register at MVD when obtaining a driver’s license or online at www.NMdonor.org

For more donation information visit www.DonateLifeNM.org or call 505-843-7672

Wherever you live in God’s World……….please be an organ donor! Amen!
