Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu spoke by telephone with Jordan’s King Abdullah II on Thursday to personally offer his condolences to him and the Jordanian people following the gruesome execution by the Islamic State (IS) terror militia of captive Jordanian pilot Mouath al-Kaseasbeh. Netanyahu added that Israel would support Jordan as much as possible in the fight against IS. That fight was ongoing Thursday and Friday as the Jordanian Air Force launched a series of strikes on IS positions in Syria, dubbed “Operation Martyr Muath” and launched “to uproot this terrorist organization and destroy evil in its lurking places”, according to an official statement.
