This morning ask yourself what is my greatest fear? Fear has torment and if we can identify what fears we believe then we can replace it with the truth. For as Christians we must believe in the Bible. These Holy Scriptures are our instructions for daily victory living. Today, let’s take a closer look at what the Bible has to say about this subject.
First, we must believe that we are loved. 1 John 4:18 states Where God’s love is there is no fear, because God’s perfect love drives out fear. It is punishment that makes a person fear, so love is not made perfect in the person who fears. Romans 5:8 states God shows his great love for us in this way: Christ died for us while we were still sinners. John 3:16 God so loved the world that he gave his only son that whoever believes in him may not be lost, but have eternal life. Do you believe this?
Fear has torment, that’s not our portion. 2 Timothy 1:7 states God did not give us a spirit that makes us afraid but a spirit of power and love and a sound mind. Psalm 91: 10-11 states No evil shall befall you, nor shall any plaque come near your dwelling: For he shall give his angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways. Psalm 34:17 states the righteous cry out and the Lord hears and delivers them out of all their troubles. Can you believe this?
These are God’s promises to us. Psalm 27: 1,3 The lord is my delight and my salvation whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Though an army may camp against me, my heart shall not fear; though war may rise against me, in this I will be confident. Psalm 56:11 says in God I have put my trust; I will not be afraid. What can man do to me? Hebrews 13:6,8 says so we can be sure when we say I will not be afraid, because the Lord is my helper. People can’t do anything to me. Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today and forever. Lastly, let’s look at John 14:27, it states I leave you peace, my peace I give to you. I do not give it to you as the world does. So don’t let your hearts be troubled or afraid. Can you receive this?
Prayer: Today, Lord I thank you that you have not given me a spirit of fear, but of power, love and a sound mind. Today, I thank you for victory over fear. I thank you for loving me enough to die for me when I was yet a sinner. There is nothing I have ever done, do now or will ever do that would ever stop you from loving me. I repent of my sins (name them if you can) and thank you God for forgiving me. I receive a fresh cleansing. I pray you fill my life full of courage. I will step out of my comfort zone and enjoy the life you have so graciously given to me. Thank you today for given me the abundant life. Lord continue to work your plan in my life. Jeremiah 29 :11 states For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you, not to harm you, to give you a hope and a future. I believe your Word and I am putting my trust in you and your Holy Scriptures. I receive the Word of the Lord in my spirit today. I believe.
Reflection:
Write out any positive thoughts, insight or short term goals that come to your mind. Have a blessed day! Fear is not your portion.
