Ukraine’s ousted leader remains defiant
Ukraine’s fugitive president, Viktor Yanukovych, is asking for Russia’s protection from what he calls “extremists,” the Associated Press reports.
Yanukovych, who fled from Ukraine’s capital Kiev last week, said in a Thursday statement that he still considers himself to be the legitimate leader.
