Action Alert We need your help to stop Senate Bill 195, a bill introduced by Senator Linda Lopez which would appropriate $500,000 of the New Mexico budget to kill unborn children. (Read the bill here) There was an attempt to amend HB 195 to say “prevent pregnancy” but Senator Linda Lopez was adamant that the word “birth” should be used.  While the progressives will fight legislation to help girls work through unwanted pregnancies with their parents assistance, they place a high priority on funding to “prevent births” and kill unborn children. Call to Action Contact the Senate Finance Committee (previous email incorrectly stated “Judiciary Committee”) and tell them to stop this bill which sneaks funding into our state budget and would force taxpayers to fund killing unborn children.
