Praise God for some success! However, there is still much work to do as witnessed right here in Albuquerque NM after our recent failed attempt just to ban late-term abortion.

The Center for Disease Control states abortion rates have fallen to their lowest levels in over 30 years. Abortions dropped another three percent in 2010 and are down eight percent over the last two years.

The new report said, “The abortion rate was the lowest recorded during the 1976-2009 period and has dropped almost continuously since 1980.” Among pregnant unmarried women, the abortion rate fell from 47.7 per 1,000 in 1990 to 28.9 per 1,000 in 2009 . Among pregnant married women, the rate fell from 10.6 per 1,000 to 6.1 per 1,000 over the same period. Combined, the rate fell about a third and is the lowest since 1976 which was just three years after the Supreme Court allowed virtually unlimited abortions in Roe v. Wade.

The pregnancy rate also declined to its second-lowest level in 30 years, falling from 115.8 per 1,000 to 102.1 per 1,000 with the largest declines coming in teen pregnancy rates. However, the abortion rate among teens has not fallen as dramatically as the pregnancy rate.

As more and more abortion clinics continue to close nationwide, the number of abortions nationally continues to decline thanks to pro-life state laws holding them accountable for health and safety standards, de-funding, and exposing abortion practitioners who are botching abortions or running afoul of the law. The widely reported closure of an abortion clinic in Philadelphia represented the 47th abortion clinic closed so far in 2013. That number does not however reflect abortion clinics that may have temporarily closed and then reopened later. With the shuttering of the Philadelphia clinic, 616 surgical abortion clinics remain in the U.S. from a high of 2,176 in 1991, a 72% decline in abortion facilities in the past 22 years. It is a real indicator that abortion is a failing business and pro-life initiatives are having an effect.

I encourage all to stand behind any ‘Pro-Life’ legislative initiatives banning the needless slaughter of these children. I contend, God knew who these children were long before their earthly presence became known and are therefore human beings at the moment of conception. Please pray over the unnecessary slaughter of these precious little human beings!!!

After serving in the United States Navy for 22 years I retired from the service late in 1991. Having always loved the southwest, shortly after retiring, I moved to the Albuquerque area where I have resided since. Initially I worked as a contractor for approximately 6 years doing cable construction work. That becoming a little dangerous, at an elevated age, I moved into the retail store management environment managing convenience stores for roughly 16 years. With several disabilities, I am now fully retired and am getting more involved with helping Pastor Dewey & Pastor Paul with their operations at FGGAM which pleases my heart greatly as it truly is - "For God's Glory Alone". I met my precious wife Sandy here in Albuquerque and we have been extremely happily married for 18 years and I am the very proud father to Sandy's wonderful children, Tiana, our daughter, Ryan & Ross, our two sons, and proud grandparents to 5 wonderful grandchildren. We attend Christ Full Deliverance Ministries in Rio Rancho which is lead by Pastor's Marty & Paulette Cooper along with Elder Mable Lopez as regular members. Most of my time is now spent split between my family, my church & helping the Pastors by writing here on the FGGAM website and doing everything I can to support this fantastic ministry in the service of our Lord. Praise to GOD & GOD Bless to ALL! UPDATED 2021: Rick and Sandy moved to Florida a few years ago. We adore them and we pray for Rick as he misses Sandy so very, very much!
