Where are you rushing off today?
Did you spend time with God this morning?
Jesus was not in a hurry.
Jesus had only three years, think of that three years to heal and teach and change the world! The Bible NEVER tells us that he was rushing through them.
We are the ones rushing and rushing through them. Catching the gist of this parable, smiling at the punch line in that dialogue. We can race through the Gospels in hours, fully briefed on Christ’s life, but hardly changed. But what happens if we allow ourselves to slow down?
Good friend, take heart what I’m telling you; collect my counsels and guard them with your life. Tune your ears to the world of Wisdom;
Set your heart on a life of Understanding.
That’s right—- if you make Insight your priority, and won’t take no for an answer,
Searching for it like a prospector panning for gold,
like an adventure on a treasure hunt,
believe me, before you know it Fear-of-God will be yours:
you’ll have come upon the Knowledge of God.
Proverbs 2:1-5 MSG
Our prayer for you today here at the CUP and FGGAM, is that you soak in the knowledge of God, in the name of Jesus, Amen!
