We are in prayer for the Domenici family. Pete Domenici, a former Republican senator from New Mexico who became a power broker in the Senate for his work on the federal budget and energy policy, has died. Domenici was 85.

Please be in prayer for the family. Dr. Richard Mansfield now leads us in prayer……..
Lord, our hearts our heavy as we heard of the passing of Senator Pete Domenici. This great statesman served the residents of the great State of New Mexico in the United States Senate selflessly for over 35 years. We thank You Lord for all that Senator Domenici gave to all of us as well as our nation. I pray that You place Your comforting arms around his wife Nancy and their beautiful children, families and all of us that loved and respected him dearly. I pray in Jesus name, Amen!

We have been given a rich legacy of the power and importance of prayer, both in Scripture and throughout Christian history. Every generation needs courageous believers who will trust God at His Word and pick up the baton of intercession, continuing the powerful legacy of faithfully standing in the gap and seeking God’s heart in prayer.
The time is now my friends!
“I am only one, but I am one. I cannot do everything, but I can do something. What I can do, I ought to do. What I ought to do, by the grace of God, I will do.” —D. L. Moody

Washington, D.C. (September 13, 2017) Congressman Steve Pearce today released the following statement on the passing of former New Mexico Senator Pete Domenici:

“It is with a heavy heart today that we say goodbye to a man that single handedly transformed the state of New Mexico. Senator Domenici was a powerful voice for all New Mexicans and went above and beyond for the people and families who call the land of enchantment home. I had the great privilege of working closely with Senator Domenici over the years, and fostered a relationship with him as a friend, mentor, and leader. He didn’t hesitate to put every single New Mexican before himself and fought tirelessly to make sure opportunities for a better life were available to all. He was a titan – a fighter – and his work for the wellness and prosperity of New Mexico will forever be remembered. There are no words that can ease the pain we share today, but together we can make sure his legacy lives on.”
