The End of Me

Romans 14:7 For we don’t live for ourselves or die for ourselves.

I have a hard job. I’m a caretaker for an elderly woman. She’s been on hospice for a while now and she needs me to do most things for her. It’s not my calling, but she needed help so I became one of her helpers.

Matthew 25:35-36 For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.

It’s hard on me emotionally to care for this sweet lady that I’ve known 17 years. It’s beyond me, but isn’t that where true Life begins? When I’m at the end of me, it’s Him. I build my life, this life in Him on earth, by Him. By His power working in me.

Psalm 56:8 You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in Your bottle. You have recorded each one in Your book.

There will be tears, at least for me, when you are living beyond yourself. It’s a good place to be, because when you can’t in the natural, He enables you to do things you never imagined.

Acts 17:28a For in Him we live and move and exist.

You see, our destiny isn’t heaven, it is maturity in Christ. It’s being the vessel He lives, moves and loves through. It’s your perfect expression of the Christ who loves and cares for people.

John 15:5 Yes, I am the vine; you are the branches. Those who remain in Me, and I in them, will produce much fruit. For apart from Me you can do nothing.

Christ lives in me, and you, by the Spirit and through us. (Colossians 1:27; 1 Corinthians 12:13; Galatians 2:20)

How wonderful it is to be His and to love others by Him, the One who gives us Life! Praise His holy name! Thank You, Jesus.

Psalm 42:8 But each day the LORD pours His unfailing love upon me, and through each night I sing His songs, praying to God who gives me Life.

El Hayyay, the God of my Life, thank You for calling us to places that are beyond us, for at the end of us, there is You. We are one. Abba, draw us to those You want to touch and love. Help us to see their hearts. Touch those places in their hearts only You know about. Father, we praise You for ever. You’re truly amazing! Amen and so be it.

Dawn's heart is to encourage the Body so that all would come to see the Christ-life as all-living, life-giving truth, that we would all walk in the Holy Spirit to such fullness that anyone we come in contact with comes in contact with the living God. (Ephesians 4:23-24) She has always liked writing and in March 2007, the Lord gave her 1 Peter 4:10-11 As each one has received a gift, minister it to one another, as good stewards of the manifold grace of God. If anyone speaks, let him speak as the oracles of God. If anyone ministers, let him do it as with the ability which God supplies, that in all things God may be glorified through Jesus Christ, to whom belong the glory and the dominion forever and ever. Amen. Dawn is very blessed to be married to her best friend, Ron, who continually nourishes her with the washing of the Word. They currently live in Oklahoma, and have two married sons, an adult daughter, six granddaughters and two grandsons.
