A Heart of Compassion By Jeanne Theriault

Ephesians 4:32 Be kind and compassionate to one another . forgiving each other just as Christ God forgave you.
Jesus had a heart of love and compassion. He had compassion for the lost, the sick the hurting and the hungry. He was moved with compassion when he saw people.
Matthew 9:36 When he saw the crowds he had compassion on them, because they were harassed and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd.
Matthew 14:14 When Jesus landed and saw a crowd He had compassion on them and healed their sick.
Matthew 15:32 Jesus called his disciples to him and said, I have compassion for these people they have already been with me for three days and have nothing to eat. I do not want to send them away hungry or they may collapse on the way.
The Lord teaches us how to have compassion as he lived among men by his touch, his willingness to touch others and taking time to pray for them.
When we understand the true meaning of having a compassionate heart it will cause us to respond with a deep emotion with love .It will move us inwardly. Having a heart of compassion is to be kindhearted, tender hearted, to be sensitive and affectionate to be moved with tender feelings over the pain and suffering of others.
Colossians 3:12 Therefore as God’s chosen people holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience.
2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ the Father of compassion and the God of all comfort 4 who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from God.
1 Peter 3:8 Finally all of you live in harmony with one another, be sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble.
Lord I pray that we would all have a sensitive and  compassionate heart towards others. Let us be an example like Christ. To reach out to the hurting, the lost, and the sick.
