(Las Cruces, NM) — New Mexico’s Spaceport America is one step closer to being part of the birth of recreational space flight .Spaceport America and Virgin Galactic signed a deal with the FAA this week to integrate commercial space flights into everyday air traffic. The company wants to be the first to fly tourists to the edge of space and back. The state of New Mexico has put a lot of taxpayer money into this venture, I don’t see the gain for the taxpayer. It all sounds “Star Wars” stuff to me. Virgin Galactic still needs to complete its test flight program in California. The Albuquerque Journal reports that Virgin Galactic has not flown high enough to reach space yet and it must secure a commercial operator’s license from the FAA before it can even launch flights from the NM Spaceport. Whose watching the hen house? New Mexico needs to get back to the basics and the first thing would be to look to God for everything. A state that is suffering, like New Mexico,  does not need to look into space, it needs to look into the face of God. FollowTheMoney
