Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu praised the IDF Monday, saying the effort to find and destroy tunnels terrorist have dug under the border from the Hamas-ruled Gaza Strip into Israel as well as rocket launchers and other terror weapons is proceeding “better than expected.” “A military campaign is complicated, and there are difficult moments,” he said. “I am convinced that together we will achieve the goal.” His words came even as the nation was mourning the loss of 18 soldiers killed since Operation Protective Edge began, along with three civilians who have been killed by rocket and mortar fire with many more soldiers and civilians wounded.
