Howard Stansell

Originally from Illinois Mr. Stansell came to NM in 1956. He is a 1967 graduate from UNM. He taught high school in Los Lunas, Grants, Magdalena, (Fine Arts and English Literature). He is the original co founder, administrator of Hope Christian Schools, Albuquerque, NM (1976) first called Hope High School. He taught Painting, Drawing and Design at UNMVC as adjunct instructor retiring in 2002. He is a current performing singer, song writer, musician and recording artist. He is the Leader of The Sparrow’s Nest, Gospel Music and Message Program. He is a contemporary writer of political commentary with a Christ centered focus. He believes that the Gospel Message must expand beyond the church building and include an appropriate response to current events. Mr. Stansell lives in Los Lunas, NM with his wife, Anne, of 45 years. They have two adult children and two grandchildren.
