LORD God, our Heavenly Father, our refuge and our strength (Psalm 46:1), we come to You on behalf of all who are facing these devastating storms across America.
Where waters have risen and homes have been swept away, be the shelter that cannot be shaken (Psalm 91:1–2). Where families grieve loved ones lost, be the comfort that holds them through the night (2 Corinthians 1:3–4). Where children tremble with fear, wrap them in Your peace that quiets every storm (Isaiah 26:3; Mark 4:39).
Father, stretch Your hand of mercy over every flooded town, every rescue effort, every weary soul. Give courage to first responders (Joshua 1:9), wisdom to leaders, and endurance to those helping neighbors in need.
Provide food, clean water, safe shelter, and medical care. Open the way for generosity. Move Your people to respond with compassion, unity, and sacrificial love (Colossians 3:12–14).
For those who feel forgotten — remember them in ways they know You are near. For those who feel hopeless — lift their heads with the palms of Your hands. For those who feel overwhelmed — be their strength.
LORD, speak Your calming Word over the chaos: “Peace, be still.” And let Your mercy rise higher than the floodwaters.
Restore what has been lost. Rebuild what has been broken. Renew hearts that are heavy with grief.
And above all, let Your presence be felt — near, tender, strong, and faithful (Psalm 23:4). LORD, thank You for hearing our cries of sorrow, need, in a time of great trust.
In Jesus’ name, Amen.
