For many, many years I have been warning about this meltdown of trust in Churches and Pastors. It seems to fall of deaf ears. We are paying a deep price for the lack of trust people have of Pastors and Churches. Americans’ Trust in Pastors Hits Historic Low
Politics has swallowed up many Pastors. We are going through a trust recession in America. Think about it! Pray about it! Hit the streets and share the love of Jesus with all. Build bridges of love and trust! Leave your politics at home! Amen!
America does not need Democrats or Republicans, but it needs Christians. Just 4% of us have a Biblical Worldview AND BOY DOES IT SHOW! There is much hate and division all over America. I have never seen more dirty politics, on both sides, in my life (e.g., politicians using dirty language, lying, calling women bad names). Oh, my Lord! God knows. So many Americans treat politicians as if they were gods! They are just human beings like you and me. To hold them up like a god is unbiblical.
What do you not understand about this? Holding people up as a god, treating a human being with the absolute devotion, infallibility, and worship reserved only for God—is considered a form of idolatry in biblical teaching.
Is your Church baptizing people? Are you raising up mature Christians? Does you Church have a nursery? Are your Sunday School classes for children and adults full? Is your Church making a tangible difference in your community? Have abortions ended in your community? Is crime down? Is education of children improving? Is poverty down? Is care for the elderly improving? Is the care of the homeless improving?
How Can You Recognize a Healthy Church?
Keep in mind that Barna Research indicates only 4% of Americans have a Biblical Worldview.
FGGAM will stand for a Biblical Worldview to the end!
Barna Research
New research from Barna asked U.S. adults how much they trust specific institutions, leaders and organizations, from family members to Christian churches and pastors. Comparing the results with a similar survey Barna fielded in 2024, the data reveals a clear, consistent pattern: trust runs local and it runs small.
That pattern surfaces amid what’s become an ongoing trust recession in America—not a single bad year, but a sustained decline. Gallup’s latest measure, released in July 2026, puts average confidence in 14 core U.S. institutions at just 27 percent, one point above 2023’s record-low mark.
Barna’s data shows Christian churches and other expressions of Christian life haven’t escaped that broader distrust. Even where scores ticked upward since 2024, most remain modest at best. More Here
