As I have said before, the war with Iran was poorly planned. This becomes more evident every day. How many times has President Donald J. Trump proclaimed victory? I have lost count. I see no gain for America. The war has resulted in the deaths of 100 children in a Iranian primary school and we have lost 13 soldiers. I wonder what the total death toll is of people in Iran is?
Higher gas prices also have resulted from this war putting a crimp on many in America.
The Trump administration really underestimated the resolve of the Iranian regime. The hornets’ nest was struck and it continues to sting. One of my best buddies ever, Roger Carey, was killed in Vietnam. 58,200 soldiers were killed in that war! For what? It was a mixed up political war. LBJ thought he could bomb himself out of Vietnam! Carpet bombing does not win wars. LBJ proved it. What was gained by the loss of 58,200 soldiers? Don’t get me started about the Iraq war!
But I need to remind you of this: George W. Bush Mission Accomplished speech. We have not won a major war since August 15, 1945, which was the end of WWII.
According to Fox News, U.S. President Donald J. Trump says that the Iran Ceasefire Deal is ‘over’ after a new round of U.S. strikes:
- War is back on in Iran on Wednesday after Tehran launched attacks on trade vessels in the Strait of Hormuz;
- The U.S. responded to the attacks with a wave of strikes on nearly 100 targets within Iran;
- NATO Chief Mark Rutte says the violent U.S. response was “absolutely necessary”; and
- The U.S. has also revoked Iran oil sanctions waivers that were granted amid peace talks.

Axios reports that today (7/8/2026), U.S. President Donald J. Trump declared the ceasefire with Iran over and that while negotiations can continue, they are a “waste of time.”
Why it matters: Three weeks after the U.S. and Iran signed a peace deal that Trump described as “unconditional surrender,” both sides are launching fresh attacks and any sense of calm in the region has evaporated almost entirely.

And we also have Russia’s war against Ukraine, which continues on and on – a war that President Trump said he would settle before he even took office!
According to The Kyiv Independent:
